THANKS for yet another very well-crafted episode on the Zibo mod 737-800. You'd make a great flight instructor!

Just thinking about the comment below Aircrafts/ Aircraft I you change the name ,will it also mean that all your avid followers like myself have a problem with all the bookmarked URLs ? just my 10 cents worth best regards .R.
@FlyBySimulations4 жыл бұрын
Robert Brown Nope, I highly doubt that those bookmarked URLs will need to be altered. I think they’ll remain the same. I’ll do a test and see if they change or not. If they do, I’ll simply continue keeping the same name and will change it for future episodes on different aircrafts. Thank you so much for your love and support Robert. It truly means the world to me😊😊

Wow, I've been away for a few weeks and I already missed two. Just caught up on the climb and cruise episode. Looking forward to seeing how you look at an approach especially with the fmc as it can be tricky at times!
@FlyBySimulations4 жыл бұрын
Haha you didn't really miss too much. I actually ended up taking a 3 week break myself, so episode 13 and 14 have just come out. Episode 14 can be found right here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a52npZajl7R2r6c and that actually does cover the initial descent planning and approach, including a detailed look at the FMC as well:) Thanks for your ongoing support and I look forward to your future videos as well:)

Nice vidéo as always. One thing missing I think (unless done in a previous video I didn't see it) is the input of the forecast wind along the descent and the setting of the altimeter in the fmc. Maybe if one day you do a full fmc video 😉
@FlyBySimulations4 жыл бұрын
Z4ng3tsu67 Aah great point! As mentioned in the previous video, I would be very happy to create a complex FMC video covering every single page within the CDU. However, to keep the progression of the episodes linear and easy to understand, I’ve only included basic information. Hence why in my comprehensive FMC programming video as well, I don’t delve into each and every page. However, your point is very valid and forecast winds are very important during a descent to calculate the accuracy of the ANP value. Thanks for your support😊😊

@@FlyBySimulations Oh, another small thing (because I'm currently flying and made me think of it.). At 15:16, you're calling the weight "Gross Landing Weight", but this is actually the current gross weight. The FMC compute correctly the VREF, but if someone wants to use an external tool, it would be more effective to add your ZFW and the destination predicted full weight (visible on the PROG page for example).

Hi Another great video, curious why you didn't get the ATIS through the radios?
@FlyBySimulations4 жыл бұрын
Hey there Craig. Hope you're doing well. Funnily enough, I did try. For some reason, ActiveSky wasn't cooperating and wasn't properly providing ATIS information. So I had to resort to Google. I'll try and get it to work in future videos though:) Thanks again for your support:)

it is part of Navigraph. However, you can find them for free in Chartfox

Hey, another great video! I'm having a little complication though. So when I go to the DES page of the fmc, it doesn't show the 'des now' option. I was hoping you could help me out with that. Is there a certain altitude I need to be at in order to access thst option?

I disagree with beginning to learn using flaps 40 and a lower speed. Practice like the real world. Flaps 30 is used a vast majority of the time with the exception being short field landings. Makes sense to practice at the same flap setting and speed that would normally be used. Also at lower speeds, crosswind effects are more pronounced with more flaps exposed. The landing altitude on the pressure panel would be entered on the ground during pre-flight, as brought up in the previous video. The Landing Performance Calculator in the EFB is functional (Zibo 3.44+)and will enable a page two to show graphically how much runway is needed for each autobrake setting once the relevant data is entered. Windy.com is a good weather reference as well as Skyvector.com by mousing over the airport, a box will appear with the METAR.

Great work on your series! Just one tiny complaint and I don't wanna sound like a D-Bag about it. Shouldn't the title be "Aircraft" rather than "Aircrafts"? Sine the singular and plural are spelt the same. Just looking at it from a branding perspective
@FlyBySimulations4 жыл бұрын
Good sir (or mam), you are a true genius. Having done two years of language and literature, I feel utter shame in admitting that I never thought about this. However, it makes perfect sense that since craft is a collective term and an elliptical expression, it should be 'Aircraft Dissected' instead of 'Aircraft[s] Dissected'. I'll go ahead and change the title of all of my videos. Thank you so much. Hopefully, you still found the educational content worthy of a like or maybe a subscription. Thank you so much:)

@@FlyBySimulations Yea, the way I see it, I didn't want others to "write off" your entire series over a simple error. You know how petty some people can be. Otherwise great work and I have learnt a lot about the more advanced features of the FMC in the Zibo thanks to your vids :D

What DOS IT DO DAMN PARKING OR GATE, with descent rate and landing ????? you make it unnecessary subjects mixed with main topics, ,,, you just go straight descent topic how to set descent rate , make it short , that's all
