Just got this controller a few days ago. It's excellent for the price (just £40 now!). It's better than my GuliKit KK3 which cost twice as much. Infact i prefer the V3 Pro to my Elite Series 2 and that cost 4x as much. This has the absolute best D-pad. All the buttons feel great (apart from C and Z which lack mechanical switches). The triggers feel FAR better than the KK3 when they're locked. Also love how this connects in under one second when using the dongle. There's no waiting, you can just immediately start playing, unlike my other controllers which all have a delay, especially the KK3 which doesn't even connect roughly 1 in 8 times. I get 480Hz polling rate with the dongle (just over 2ms) and exactly 500Hz with the cable (exactly 2ms). You can't go wrong with this controller.

I have the zoro edition it is one of the best controller I've ever used. The feels and the response are great for daily use, the only downside for me is the software. Overall 9/10

@@McVerdict Vader 3 Pro, or any hall effect controller really, doesn't have as good joystick tension. I suppose they are using lighter tension springs for whatever reason. The Terios Winkey is probably the most stiff Hall Effect controller I've used. It's decent, feels kinda cheap, but works well.

Thanks for the much detailed review, As an owner of this controller I have a few things to point out: 1. My dongle has the "Flysync" text printed on it. So its not exclusive to the Apex 3, perhaps just random. 2. Aliexpress delivery was quite fast, at least for me personally. Ordered mine for $58 (Shipping included) to UAE and it arrived in 5 days. Even though the ETA said 3 weeks. 3. The placement of the inner back buttons (M3/M4) are a pain in the ass. They feel very unnatural and uncomfortable to press, unlike the outer ones. 4. After each firmware update, you need to calibrate thumbsticks/gyro. But more importantly you have to calibrate the triggers as well when you do the thumbsticks (just press them fully a couple of times). The app mentions only calibrating the thumbsticks. If you dont you may face issues with the trigger button functions and hairpin/analog modes. 4. Battery level seems much higher than 8 hours, I have been playing on it for a couple of days without having to recharge. 5. I wish the battery level was shown in software, or as a Color of light on the RGB at the front as response to a command or a button combination.

25:59 You can use the control via Bluetooth in PC (I have this control and I have used it in this way). Once connected to PC, you have to set it to x-input or d-input (read the following). 25:08 The control have three main modes: Dongle, BT and NSwitch mode (think of each as a different profile) and when you connect it via cable you keep the same mode selected but the data is transmitted via cable instead of wireless (and you don't use the battery). 14:01 The controller does support d-input and x-input in dongle or BT mode (and you can change the d-input/x-input on the fly). Connect the control (dongle or BT mode) and you can switch from x-input to d-input by holding down circle + A until it vibrates and the color of the led changes (The white light should turn blue). To return to xinput mode, without disconnecting it, press circle + X until it vibrates and the color of the led changes to white . The difference is that in dinput it appears as 2 devices at the same time: a vader controller with all the extra buttons (c, z, the back buttons) and a second device (vader mouse) which is the gyroscope (you activate or deactivate the gyroscope with the circle button). NOTE: you can also connect the controller in NSwitch mode to a PC (for example to use it with emulators). Open Bluetooth settings on Windows, then add a new device, turn on the controller with the back switch set to NS mode, then hold the Home button until the small blue LED flashes faster (then release the Home button), then wait for it to show up on the Windows search list and click on it when it shows up as a NS Pro Controller.

The way how this controller could be connectred to PC it's a killer feature fo me! And yes, this little beast can be used as a X-Input or D-Input device in all avalieable mods: bluetooth, dongle and as a wired controller. Also Pro Controller mode could be easily activated via bluetooth an via cable. It's amazing cuz it covers all my use cases. I am really satisfied with this gamepad which I got for only 36$ on Aliexpress by the way (first buy + chinese New Year + Valentine's Day match and provide a really nice disccount)

I feel like I need to scream this from a mountain top, it honestly may be worth a pin. A USB extender, hub, or splitter will fix the connectivity issues this controller has with the dongle. I bought this controller a few months ago and for the most part it's been fantastic. However I started to notice that if I wasn't right next to the dongle (within 3 feet or so) I would lose connectivity randomly until I moved the controller back toward it. It was happening A LOT and driving me crazy (it even had me looking at other gamepads) until I came across the fix on another video. Any kind of USB extension, splitter, or hub will act as an antenna to amplify the signal of the dongle. I have not lost connection once since I started plugging the dongle in through a 8" USB splitter cable.

I got the One Piece version of this for a dedicated controller to use with my ROG Ally but it ended up just taking over everything. I have the dongle in my main rig/desktop and set the middle bluetooth option to the Ally so I can switch between the 2 on a dime. The Elite 2 does feel better in my hands but I enjoy the feel of the buttons and sticks of the Vader 3 so much more that my poor Elite's just been gathering dust. If the Vader 3 had an inverted option for it's gyro it would be absolutely perfect.

Bought the controller immediately after I watched the video and I’m not disappointed. It replaced my dual sense edge controller as I use all 4 on the Vader 3 pro vs the two that are on the edge. I’d give the Vader 3 pro a solid 9.1/10!

It seems almost as if flydigi is actually listening to complaints. On spaceship every single adjustment is now automatically saved. People complained about the black piano finish on the charger now it looks matte on the amazon page. Plus its a pretty nice controller to boot.

Got this controller about a month ago. Amazing for the price with hall effect sticks and the best trigger stops next to the elite series 2. The build quality could be better and I really wish it came with the charging dock but you got to buy that separately. Got it off temu for 80 to 90 bucks CAD, probably around 60 to 70 for USD. Definitely worth to take a look!

YOU FORGOT ~ Pushing Select & Start + UP-Dpad puts the controller into calibration mode. So you can recalibrate it on the fly. Pushing those buttons after you're done will bring it out of calibration mode! Love the videos! Best Utuber Alive! Cheers 🍻

Absolutely, the bxy wheel is such a useful addon with extra shoulder buttons. They should also put all the 4 back buttons on hand grips. The two on back plate are hard to press.

Has anyone compared the Flydigi six-button layout with the Xbox Controller S? That's the only comparison of the C and Z buttons I can think of, as every other six-button pad I can think of uses the 3-column 2-row layout rather than this rarer 3-row with stagger layout. I can only think of two reasons why they went with this layout, to mimic the original S controller, and so that they can have six face buttons without modifying placement and without modifying shell shape; keep in mind that every six-button layout modifies the facebutton layout from the typical diamond that, IIRC, the SNES popularized and we still have a current lineage of today, there has to be a sacrifice somewhere either with shell shape or placement location. Personally, depending on thumbs, I don't really mind the placement, if you think about it C and Z (or black and white, etc.) were before bumpers/L1-R1 existed and in modern use it makes sense for them to be the remaps for the bumpers if you have some game that requires constant trigger use; and honestly placing them under your thumb's IP joint makes sense for a quick press assuming they're properly placed, instead of having to swing your thumb over to another set of buttons, it's the same mentality of remapping face buttons to back/shoulder inputs so that your thumbs don't need to move from the stick- it's all situational, but sometimes some layouts make more sense than others.

Those two oddly angled rear buttons seem perfect for someone like me who mainly used a gamepad for racing games. I use my index finger on the analog triggers and my middle fingers rest exactly where those two rear buttons are.

For me default c and z are for comfortable if you get used to it. Because you can use those instead of clicking on the stick which sometimes may push the stick a little to the left or right

I recently received my Vader 3 Pro and I think my controller has a quality control issue. The face buttons feel kinda clicky but more “membrane-ish”. However the C and Z buttons on my controller are actually clicky. When you talked about the face buttons, they sound more clickier than mine and you also mentioned your C and Z buttons feel like membrane switches.

It's not a defect, just a different variety of switch, though I'm not sure if the ABXY cluster has a membrane or not but they do seem connected in some way. The only teardown I can find is by @modfix102 on here, it's towards the end of the video but they do show the front of the PCB and the tact switch variety, and in the back is the controller where the C and Z buttons are independent, but they don't dive deeper into the plastics where there's some kind of plate behind the ABXY cluster. Flydigi is somewhat notorious for mixing in different switches in different areas of the controller; I believe the Apex 2 review by Kevin had a similar complaint of its C and Z feeling different from ABXY, as well as the controller in general having an odd variety of switch types throughout its layout. I don't immediately recognize what's under the C and Z, but it's definitely a tactile switch of some variety, probably a softer or less clicky one.

It's my favourite controller out of many. So for the Nintendo Switch that button will take a screenshot. For Windows, hold ○ + A to switch to Dinput mode. Hold ○ + X to switch to Xinput. If you press ○ while in Dinput mode you can control the mouse with the gyro. In Bluetooth mode, hold ○ + Y to switch to Android mode. That seems to be all it does.

Update! Well ordered the Vader 3 Pro from Amazon Australia ( yes I'm Australian) had credit with them that Amazon USA wouldn't accept (had an Apex 4 Pro on order as Australia is yet to offer it. Then checked Ali Express and they offered the Apex 4 Pro for half the price Amazon were charging me... Damn 300.00 Ali Express $163.00 Australian. So now will have both.

The Apex 3 has the exact same D-pad, and it has a good stack of cons when compared to this one. It does look super shmexy, but if I were you, I'd stick with the Vader 3.

I really wanted to like the Vader 3 Pro, but couldn't get it to stay consistently connected. If I turned it off and tried to turn in on again later, it wouldn't reconnect. Also the D-Pad UP key didn't work on mine, and I didn't really need all the extra buttons, they just felt like they were in the way, particularly the C and Z buttons. I got it from Amazon btw, direct from Flydigi, not some sketchy vendor. But I definitely would have kept it if it would've stay connected. I probably just got a bad one which I've been reading a lot about, all these 3rd party controllers are subject to quality control issues. I wish Microsoft would just release a version of their standard series X|S controller, slap some high quality hall effect joysticks in there, maybe some gyro/motion control and charge $40-$50 more. I'd buy it in a heartbeat. But that's not going to happen. Maybe the Gulikit King Kong 3 will tick all the boxes for me.

Just got it in the mail today, and the left hall effect trigger was not functioning. I openend the controller to find the magnet for the trigger magnetised to some other metal component. So it fell out its place. Had to add some double-sided tape to put it pack in its place and make it stay there. So be mindfull when handling the controller. The magnets are just (poorly) glued in place, and might pop out.

Bought partially on your review and may have an added path to play PS5 with it for you. Loving it so far but had to swap R1/R2 and L1/L2 as easier to use R2/L2 with my hands(feels a little small) The PSPlay app is a 3rd party app that allows use of any controller that connects to your streaming hardware; I use NVIDIA Shield. Only issue is it caps at 1080p but general has less lag than official PS Remote app

Great review, I pretty much agree with most of what you said, just a couple notes as someone who's used this controller for about a month now: 1. Got a link for those specific kontrol freeks you used? I bought some PS5 kontrol freeks and they wouldn't stay on the thumbstick no matter how hard I tried 2. Flydigi seems to directly sell this controller via Temu. That's where I bought it for 65$. Doesn't seem to be in stock anymore but shipping was only a week and I don't have any QC issues. 3. You mention a couple times about using reWASD to bind C and Z to PC functions like volume control, but from my knowledge reWASD currently does not support the Vader 3 or 3 Pro. reWASD only sees the standard buttons on the controller, it doesn't see the paddles or the C/Z buttons. I do have a workaround that I use, see below. My work around for this is to have both the Flydigi software and the reWASD software open at the same time. Map the extra buttons to keyboard keys in the Flydigi software, and then map those keyboard keys in reWASD to whatever you want. Obv there's no reason to do this if you're just doing simple remaps, but it's helpful if youre trying to use all the reWASD specific features. The Flydigi software does warn you to not use reWASD however. There's one major bug where if the controller falls asleep while you have reWASD enabled then all controller support just breaks. Like even if I plug in a different controller my PC still won't recognize it. Only way to fix it I found so far is to just restart your PC. Probably something weird going on with that custom controller driver that gets installed when you set up the Flydigi software.

i have this gamepad, little bit informatiin about connection modes, for xs = wireless adapter., for bluetooth = i can pair it with my pc, just press and hold the home and circle button (the one that is left side of home button) then it will detect as xinput. then NS mode = i can use it as nintendo pro controller when playing yuzu, same method with bluetooth mode, just press and hold the 2 buttons (home and circle) then it will detect as nintendo pro controller in pc. 😊

Galera me responde aí se o Analógico R da direita de vcs é um pouco bugado tipo ele fica girando aí engasga e volta a girar sendo tbm que o giro pra esquerda é mais rápido do que pra direita. Aí tive a ideia de minimizar todos botões do jogo e joguei lá no canto do mapa e criei um hud no flydigi só com o R pra testar mas continuou com o engasgo. Não sei se é só no Vader 3 pro esse engasgo ou se é em todos gamepads da flydigi e tbm não sei se uma atualização poderia corrigir esee bug. Dont put the dead zone on zero!! This joysticks are known for not having a very good resting state so by default they set it to 3% wich is still very low, so, if you are having shaking camera problems just increase the dead zone, mine works perfectly as it came, 3% dead zone.

@antz9945 yes they dont feel as clicky as the X Y A b buttons (I believe those even have a mechanical switch) but thats expected, however they're far from feeling "bad to press". Its my first time using a controller with programmable buttons and I dont feel like going back to the "normal ones" tbh. One tip I actually use a lot is in the app for pc where you program those back buttons you can even assign the mouse buttons on those in the controller, that is such a nice feature! I can open games etc without even having to reach my keyboard and mouse. I got mine from bangood for like 48€ so if you can find this controler from around this price I say its 100% worth it, you will not find anything as good as this for less than 70$/€ or more, trust me I did a lot of research. Edit: just checked its on banggod rn for 57€ so if you dont mind spending a couple more than I did I say go for it or wait and search a little more maybe you could find it for

Be careful of FlyDigi's quality. I had Vader 2, and it was flimsy, I had it replaced three times, and by the last time the retailer told me the product was discontinued and they gave me a full refund (it's my retailer's policy, not FlyDigi's). With that money I got myself a Gamesir T4CP, and I could immediately notice the difference. And also, for Vader 2, RB and LB buttons are connected, like WTF? It felt absolutely horrible in my hands. And BTW, FlyDigi IS ABSOLUTELY NOT NO.1 in China, their Chinese website doesn't make such a claim, but their English version does, probably because their competitors won't really search for it in English so who cares what they say.

20:53 what is masked value exactly means for trigger vibration ? i tested that lower ( or zero ) actives trigger vibration in any range of the trigger , and higher values ( let say 127 and above ) make the trigger not vibrate if i press too hard( to the end). it is just a filter to cancel the trigger vibration when i passs a % of trigger range?

Ok, after like 7-8 weeks of using it, I`m back to my old 8bitdo ultimate. Those new versions of hall effect analogs, tho watery smooth, already have problems with centering, im on 10% deadzone and it`s getting worse.
