Hey Cheech I’ve been tying these for a while now learnt from this great video.Some things I’ve noticed…once the dark brown and tan strips are tied in trying to cover the underbody with thread using 140 utc what I do is wrap 90 percent then just use a black sharpie to cover the missed spots.To make the fly even more visible I’ve changed the top foam color(the foam strip which holds down the wing) to fluo orange.😊

I think a 2x or 3 x would be just the ticket on a 9-foot leader to start with.

Go find them when they spawn. They will be shallow and you can target them with the fly rod then. You will not get as many hookups as followers but its doable.
