Float Tubing and Fly Fishing Fun

In this video you will find me doing some simple fly fishing for bluegill and bass from my float tube … and it was just one of those quickie fishing trips that took place last second and turned out so very enjoyable! I throw in a few float tubing tips as well and land a bunch of fish, which is always fun. Everything is fun on a 3wt. Bass put a nice bend in that rod. Beautiful colors on those fish. Looks like a nice quiet place.

I have a caddis sports nevada float tube. Absolutely the best way to fish. I dont take it on big lakes with motorized boats, but there are several lakes/ponds that are kayak/canoe only. If you've never done float tube fishing before, you won't regret it. I agree with Jeff's comments on fins. Buy good ones, my 1st set were cheap, and the tightening mechanism failed while in the water...and now 1 of my fins resides underwater. You get what you pay for.

What frog are you using at the end of the video??

Frankly, not sure what it is called….legs are made from a mop and front is tied much like a grasshopper tie, allowing it to make a popping or gurgling sound. I’ve had it for several years…..
