This is the third video of Flying the Champ to Mount Pleasant Texas. I started out in Wichita Fall Texas and only had one leg to get to Mount Pleasant Tx. This Champ had a O-200, 100 hp engine and a extra 10 gallons of gas. #ferryflight #flying #crosscountry

Watching this video takes me back 24 years ago when I owned an Aeronca champion 7AC, with original tricycle landing gear configuration from factory. I bought and flew the little one to complete my commercial hours. I never had a problem and always made me feel comfortable about any and all aspects. Unfortunately, they broke it up in a deadly accident in Mexico. The airplane was a novelty as the landing gear config, wasn't something very usual. As I know, all these are tail daggers. May you have many nice flights.

I’ve seen many hangars full of car collections but for my money, a hangar like that one blows them all away! I believe you could make a KZbin episode for every airframe in there! Merry Christmas Dewey!

You can just tell this guy is a good soul. Wish I were near him as I'd like to get current again in a tailwheel and get a Champ or something similiar. Haven't picked an instructor yet but I'm hoping I'll have a better chance of getting an instructor rather than time builder with tailwheel. Enjoyable video.

Thanks Dewey, what a beautiful Champ. If you fly north from the Dewey Drone just passed Bellefoutaine east of Indian Lake, they have been building a new wind farm for about a year and they haven't turned it on yet. Nice flight in the champ and then lunch in Mt Vickory, O74 Ellliots Landing.

Way to go Dewey, used to go Mt. Pleasant in my Champ out of Majors Field Greenville,Texas. I live in New Zealand these days and don’t fly much any more. Only one Champ in this country. Once again I believe yours, mine and the one here would be sister ship. From memory the one here originally registered 1417,mine was 1414 and I thought yours was pretty closed to those. As far as I know 1414 is still flying in south west Texas. Safe flying Cheers

Dewy that was a very enjoyable set of video's of your ferry flight in this delightful example of the Aeronca Champ, sorry that you had little sleep at that last hotel but you did very well in keeping alert for the final leg of the journey. This brings home the fact that for ferry flying it takes planning and stamina as well to keep going and weather is always at the back of your mind too, those dark clouds were building up in Texas. That hangar was full of warbirds and interesting airplanes,I could see a Ford Tri Motor at the back of the hangar and a nice radial engined Stinson Jr at the front of the hangar.I bet the owner was delighted with his new airplane and thanks to you now has a nice machine to fly,you did very well Dewey you haver built up a reputation for reliable delivery of vintage flying machines and long may it continue, now onto the next ferry flight so we can share the trip with you and for that we sincerely thank you.
