Great review Jayden. What a tremendous difference between Lufthansa and ANA in their service and meals. This just reinforces my belief that Japanese airlines are really in the top tier when it comes to the total experience of enjoying a pleasant flight. Of course my all time favorite airline is right up there also!(❤SQ✈👍💯). THE ANA Lounge looked great, the meals served on board reminded of flying back in the "good old days". Your shot of the Sydney skyline from your plane was so nice. 👍🏻 Your Q&A was so appreciated as it gave us a glimpse of your interests and your plans for the future. I know that your are interested in working on the "business side" of an airline but have you ever considered being a flight attendant for a few years? Take care and have a great weekend.

Flew NH's 788 from GMP to HND and loved their services on board. The netted foot rest was an ingenious way to keep passengers happy and comfortable. Great video as always!

Great to have detailed insight of the ANA product and service Jayden as this is an airline I`ve not flown with. Really impressed with the service standards of the cabin crew, and even in the economy cabin that there were no lengthy periods in which the crew were absent throughout the flight. I agree that ANA has improved its services, operations and performances, including cleanliness :-) , even compare to JAL which is also great one. It's mainly because of Star Alliance though, I use ANA more often nowadays.

Yes I was pleasantly satisfied with ANA! I didn’t have a first good impression with them back in 2011 when I flew them to Sapporo via Tokyo. 747D was fun but their 767 was super old and uncomfortable even for an 11 yo! ANA now has new planes with new seats, and amazing everything else too!! 😍

Great video as always, Jayden! It's great to see that ANA still maintain their attention to detail while most other carriers are cost-cutting, at least in North America and Europe. I was once a huge Lufthansa fan due to their consistency, but the cutbacks you showed in the last vid make me glad I'm not too invested with them FF-wise. One fact omitted Jayden was the Y configuration. Originally ANA, along with JAL, opted for 2-4-2 in Y. But unlike JAL it later switched to the denser 3-3-3 layout featured by other B787 operators. Am not sure whether or not JAL maintains that generous 2-4-2 configuration. But great video from you !

JAL does keep the 2-4-2 for international flights, but the domestic config 788 has a 3-3-3

Another great flight report to enjoy viewing ! Catering looked pretty good and even the lighter breakfast was a step up from the Lufthansa one in your previous video. It's always nice how you summarize the main points about the flight again at the end. ( You obviously got good marks for presentations during your studies at uni 😀)

Another great video Jayden. I did ANA Business from KL to Vancouver via Narita and return in 2019. They were excellent. My one and only time. You were right in saying that it is unusual for long haul flights to land on the shorter east / west runway. Obviously strong westerly winds that day? Best peanuts 🥜 absolutely MAS. Also best Satay!

I was supposed to fly ANA way back in 2020, then covid hit so i have to cancel. I can’t wait to plan my flight again to JP. Esp now after watching this video ❤ the legroom is amazing, the cabin looks spacious (unlike other economy cabins that looks pitifully cramped), and the meal! Omg 🤤🤤🤤 love this vid! Yes was in Cebu in 2019 for a holiday with my sisters and brother in law :) It was amazing there, it was one of the few touristy places where scammers don’t really exist. Would legit go back just because of that reason.. plus it’s really beautiful and affordable ;) Thanks for the heads up about the rego haha

While the crews still look friendly indeed, I noticed that the crew who was handing you the arrival card sounded a bit disinterested. But again, it's hard nowadays to "judge" the crews cuz we have no ideas on what's behind their mask..... ANA has been one of the airlines in my bucket list, and tough luck I haven't even tried one even before the pandemic 🤣 but the 31' seat legroom might definitely be a dealbreaker. Some airlines in the same caliber provide at least 32'. Nice video as always, Jayden!

I was so distracted by the Cat during your Q & A so adorable 😍. Love the way you killed 8hrs in the lounge eating, ld do the same. Do you know why there was so many cancelled flights on the departures board in Tokyo? That was alot of cancelled flights😏. Like others have said those automated announcements on board in an American accent are just weird but l guess it free up the Cabin Crew to attend to passengers l suppose. Great review ANA are a lovely Airline and very pro active Cabin Crew👍

I guess with the cancelled flights, they were flights that were scheduled months ago but cancelled also at least a few weeks prior, they just decided to keep it there. I noticed some flights to Hong Kong but then I knew that ANA and others had suspended Hong Kong flights for a long while due to new restrictions imposed in December. I totally wouldn’t mind another long transit there as long as free flow pork ramen is still there😂 Thanks Vanessa!

ANA has 2 key 787 configurations. You were in the international configuration. There is a regional one with only 31" seat pitch. It's super tight and uncomfortable...

Mama mia, Jayden! I lost track of how many meals and drinks you had in this report! What a feast, Jayden's feast!!! The main mean served onboard was amazing for Economy Class, but I was not surprised. I would have chosen the Japanese option too, it looked delicious. I flew ANA once and everything was impeccable. I think what struck me the most was how clean and spotless the plane was (a 777)!!! I flew both JAL and ANA, both are excellent and service very attentive. By the way, I liked how you used the coat hook to hold your headset, good tip! Other than that, about European airlines, I really like Air France and I recommend it, but that's just my humble opinion! Jayden, have a nice trip to Vietnam and get a fun haircut there! Cheers :))

SYD RWY 25 only applies when there is a cross wind in exceed of 25 kts either on RWY 16 or RWY 34. great review!! For sector btw SYD & HND i preferred ANA, otherwise JAL, because ANA offers overnight flight back to Japan which JAL only has daytime flight back to Japan, 10 hours on the day flight , very hard to kill time unless flying business

fair point! I personally prefer day flights because I like the views and also I have plenty of free time. But definitely if you’re on a short work trip, overnight is preferred. And yes very rare to landing on RWY 25, in fact this was my first and only time so far!

I was wondering are almost all the plane announcements automatic/robotic? They sounded like that to me, there would so much information to put into the voice computer like the origin/destination, weather, time remaining etc. How did you feel about that Jayden? It was a bit weird to me! 😊

Hi Jayden! I have booked a round-trip ticket with ANA from Singapore to JFK New York, with a layover of approximately 5 hours at Haneda Tokyo Airport on the outbound journey and 7 hours on the return journey. I will be checking in a piece of luggage at Singapore Changi Airport for my final destination in JFK New York. Do I need to collect my luggage at Haneda Tokyo Airport during my layover and check it in again for my onward flight to JFK New York? And the same question applies to my return journey from JFK New York to Singapore, during my layover at Haneda Tokyo Airport. Thank you!

Vodka! All the great liquor at duty free and you grabbed some vodka!! ;) Great review though. Gin and tonic is a great choice for meals in really dry climate, the effervescence helps moisturize your senses of smell and taste.

I was going to go ana to london via tokyo as a gamble the plane wouldnt be that full , but with the ukraine war and the extra hrs now just doing london via darwin .

Man, if just the 787 have its 2-4-2 configuration as it was supposed and expected, it wouldbe so untouchable probably make it better than a 350 in economy without no telling the rest. To sad and bad Airlines prefer profits and they think the 2-4-2 is an "old seat standard". Another amazing video. By the way, hire is the reply to oneof the comments *"omaewa mo shindeiru"*

Jayden great vlog as always but ANA to Australia ? 8 hrs in a basically closed airport is a good time to eat the entire lounge menu not just ramen lol 😂 The seat while would have been nice when boarding perhaps ? The extra gin was to help u pass out perhaps ? The mask stuff is still baffling to me as you take of your mask to eat and drink even in restaurants but have to wear it the rest of the time ? Do u hold your breath when eating ?
