As a boy l watched these pick up and drop on a fire. My dad had our boat tight to shore they picked up so close l could see the pilots head in the window. The sound of it I'll never forget. Then to watch it dump swing around pick up an do it all again. 50 years later.....best day ever.

Great video series on the "Flying Boats". If I were a billionare, I'd have the Spruce Goose flying to Europe and Hawaii !!!
