This is also my first time flying with them. Depending which airline to compare with, I think it is okay. They didn't prepare extra food for first class and I didn't get the chocolate fondant I originally asked either. Singapore Airlines is still my favorite 😊😊😊. I flew BA first class last year and the seats were lovely. This looks like business class still. Service and food were amazing though. Flying Emirates 1st next year though (hopefully) so looking forward to that.

Singapore airlines business class is bigger than BA,s first class…..it maybe a new first class cabin but I think it’s still poor and way behind the top 3 airlines. Very good video and what an amazing landing 👍🏻

@@Momo-travel2022 When you cleared security you can stay on that floor. Turn right and to to the very end and you will find the "millionaires" door. It's unmarked with a BA employee standing at a podium. Show them your FC boarding pass and go thru the door directly into the Concorde Room. It saves a lot of walking. I also use it on long layovers when I go for walks or shopping. Loved the review!!

To add to this, next time you are forced through the standard security channel in LHR T5 as a First Class customer, instead of passing Harrods and then going downstairs and traversing the entire A Pier only to go up the escalator, you can just immediately turn right after security and the Concorde Room entrance is mere steps away. It’s right there immediately after security on the right.

Last time iI saw you in the jungle Bali retreat where everything in the villa looked so dry and spotless in that damp area without any air conditioning (?). You are an amazing globe trotter. Great video mate. I'm really not impressed with BA first class. Everything on the menu should be available. I've flown business with BA on a 787 which was good but not 1st. I flown 1st with Emirates and Etihad and both are outstanding. I need to try Singapore airlines. Will subscribed, keep making these mate. 🙏

The seat looks like the business class seat on Singapore Airlines. And similar to CX. In my experience, the service is much better on Singapore, CX, and Emirates.

I didn't ask the staff to bring both courses, not sure if the table will be too crowded if both course are on. Those are big plates, lol. I remember it was still warm 😊. Ah, yes, it was the pyjamas! Something I figured out recently is how to fly Qatar Airways A380 First class from London with avios (normally not possible). Book a reward flight on BA, and choose a destination that 1. Has first class 2. Has the A380. I selected LHR-DXB some time in September 2025. And for 112,500 avios plus £500-600 I think it was, you can fly Qatar Airways LHR-DOH-DXB. LHR-DOH is A380 first class, and the next leg is a first class ticket but their Qsuite seat. Return leg is Qsuite all the way. And you can buy 113,000 avios from Finnair for 0.88p per avios, so £980 for the avios and around £600 for the cash!

Man, those surcharge prices for British airways first class are insane, such a deal breaker. On top of that, the price in points or avios is not cheap. Those prices are easily a round trip economy or premium economy, what's the point for a one way first class travel ? 😮‍💨 If not for Iberia, Finnair, Aer Lingus and especially Qatar Airways, British Airways avios would be the worst frequent flyer currency

That's true, I think British Airways has the highest surcharge, so even booking with miles, there is still a lot of cash payment. I would always select other low surcharge airlines if possible. In addition to that, BA has tons of space on their transatlantic routes to the US. 68k avios + $838 in their first class product and 80k avios + $200 in business class . But it would be wiser for me to fly with iberia for 34k avios + $175 in business class for transatlantic flights, especially where I am, it is quite difficult for me to accumulate miles. Comparing your JAL first class video and BA, I would say the new JAL first class is so so much better than BA first class. BA just changed the seat colour and added a door 😂😂😂

Yea, the surcharge is crazy, I think the surcharge itself is more than enough for a round trip economy. BA will not be a preferred option, except just for the experience. JAL seat is so much larger as there are 3 seats per row. The food and service is also much better , she brought out a big tray of cakes 😉😉😉.

Paying the exorbitant price to fly First Class without imbibing in the finest wines and top-shelf liquor served in First Class seems like a colossal waste of money to me. I noticed that you drank only still water throughout the flight I didn't even see tea or coffee served at breakfast. I know they poured a glass of champagne but it did not appear you touched it. When the attendant poured a glass of red wine you said "That is enough I don't drink" after she poured a few ounces. I don't think you took a sip of wine either. I would have started off with the finest champagne on arrival followed by a couple of pre-dinner cocktails and then the finest selections of wine with dinner and then the finest Port Wine with that cheese plate finished off with Rémy Martin Louis XIII Cognac with coffee and dessert. Before tucking in for bed I would have ordered a nightcap or two. Upon waking up I would expect a FULL breakfast not just a bunch of cubed pieces of fruit and a croissant served with still water. What kind of breakfast is that for First Class? There is nothing wrong with following a strict non-alcoholic low-calorie diet but why pay a massive premium to fly First Class if this is your lifestyle? First Class is only worthwhile if you will be imbibing in the finest alcohols available and indulging in all the food offerings available. Why say no to a cinnamon bun because the "Crouisant is enough" Finally, it is good to be polite but when you are paying what must be around $20K for a one-way flight there is no need to ask "May I have". When you are paying insane prices to fly First Class you can have anything you want.

Thank you for this and yet another reminder of why one should never waste cash or points on BA First, because it is not. Your experience was akin to Emirates Premium Economy. When the extremely arrogant FA tells you cannot sample a second main because they are 'counted' then tells oops sorry, ran out of the fondant - did she actualy listen to herself. She also took your still water order but didn't deliver it; the second FA asked you again. And the IFE remote didn't work. Dear Lord. Best part of this was the landing - great filming, editing and storytelling, just a shameful experience.

Yea, even with miles , there is a very high surcharge, so BA is definitely not a preferred way if there are other options. It is disappointing that they didn’t prepare extra for first class , and not even dessert which was very surprising 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨. Is it because this was an award ticket, so it became second class in first class 🤔🤔🤔. Singapore Airlines is my favorite and way ahead of BA in so many ways like the cabin, crew and food. Yea, there was definitely some disappointment. They didn't prepare extra food for first class and I didn't get the chocolate fondant I originally asked either. Maybe there is budget control nowadays. How standards have dropped. Wearing tracksuit bottoms and a hooded top would have been frowned apon in first class. That sort of clothing was only permissable in cattle class or on holiday flights to Benidorm
