This is a very sad sight Sir Mitch..Being an airport staff myself who used to work in Dubai Airport until it closed in March 21, 2020, I saw how Dubai Airport - one of the busiest airports in the world - slowly went out of passengers and when I got repatriated back here in the Philippines and seeing this video makes me sad..all my thoughts are to those who are working in the airport life was so much difficult last year especially for air travel and thankful now that travel is slowly getting up to its knees, Stay safe and safe travels Sir Mitch

Pero di muna sa ngayon pinapayagan makalabas unless babalik/papasok sa trabaho (OFW’s) sa ibang bansa. If nakitang leisure travel, baka di kayo palabasin so be sure na you have po ur documents na u are working outside the country para payagan kayo makalabas uli. Yan po sa ngayon ang rule, but may change din depende kung umayos ang sitwasyon. Good luck sa travels and have a safe journey. Salamat sa panuod ng blog ko. 😊

It's sad, because of COVID 19, many Americans cannot travel to the Philippines, and not only we cannot travel, we are getting a difficult time getting in touch with the airline for a refund. I am ashamed of this airline, for treating their customers with no respect!

The paperwork is a bit of a burden, and max seating capacities on flights is not sustainable long-term. How many passengers were with you aboard that flight? Btw, great video and hopefully we all can take to the skies again.

Yes, honestly the paperwork can really be a hassle, with covid test being a burden on one’s budget. Travel for work or business is permitted but having all those required documents make people think twice to fly these days. On this flight we were about 26 of us. Plenty of empty seats. As of now, only the ff foreigners are allowed to enter the Philippines: 1. Officials/representatives of foreign governments 2. Officers/representatives of accredited international organizations 3. Hello Margie! Yes, according to advisory, people aged 21yrs and below and above 60 are not allowed to fly (specially those above 60 having weaker immune system). Travel for leisure isn’t allowed also (with nowhere to go anyway as many establishments are closed). But there are exceptions. If purpose of travel is business or work related, or if it’s an important one like for medical reasons, etc. they’ll be allowed. I’ve seen kids travel with their parents, teens travelling alone, and seniors perhaps on a business trip (with one seated near me in Business Class) and I guess they do have some important agenda that they were allowed to fly. Hopefully the situation improves even before December so we can all freely travel without the hassles of preparing the required documents. You can, as long as the purpose of travel is valid and important, or that you fit into one of the list of exempted persons for travel (returning/outgoing OFW’s, students studying abroad, etc.). I’ve seen children fly with their mom last week. The parent happens to be a returning OFW. Children needing medical attention may also travel along with their parents. ☺️

Hello Mercy! I’m not sure about the rules in Palawan as protocols vary per destination. In Cebu, i wasn’t required to go on quarantine. But I heard in places like Bohol, you need to do so. With Palawan being strict, I suppose it does require a 14-day quarantine. A passenger at a check in counter next to me bound for Puerto Princesa was turned down as he lacked some documents. I assume that’s how strict they are when entering Palawan. My advise is to coordinate with the airline you’re taking in regards to updated advisory and requirements just to be sure. As of now, things are slowly returning to, well, the new normal. People are starting to travel again though at a slow rate due to strict requirements. I’m sure the Philippines misses you. Manila Hotel misses your company too! I know you’ll be back... ☺️☺️☺️

I have been to manila many times , 2019 was my last visit , terminal 2 looks very different when almost completely empty of people , that been said i could never travel under these conditions with all these tests and quaranteen and not been able to move around without conditions it just takes the fun out of visiting.

It’s really a hassle these days to go thru all the requirements just to travel by air, plus the risk. Hopefully things improve soon. For now, yeah, good decision- keep safe till the situation gets better. 😊

I want to visit in the Philippines do i need to quarantine for 14 days if i came from another country

As of Sept 30, 2020, all arriving international passengers will undergo testing at the airport and will be required to be quarantined at approved facilities while waiting for test results. If negative, travelers will be made to undergo another 14 days of home quarantine. Non OFW’s will shoulder the cost at approved quarantine facilities.
