Hey guys, last month I had traveled to the US for some work and here’s a vlog from the day I traveled to Seattle from Mumbai. It was a 26 hour long journey so I thought I’ll vlog. It was also my birthday, I turned 27 up in the air, and I also ended up getting a free business class upgrade which was awesome! I share my theories on how you can get a free business class upgrade. It's not bt points or anything. I got an upgrade on my first lufthansa flight. They do upgrade you if they have vacant seats. Chances increased if you r travelling with kids or a solo female traveller as courtesy

Kritika, the moment before the airline staff asked you to step aside she said "008 seat" which according to your boarding pass indicates a premium economy seat. I think the upgrade is purely a reflection of a premium economy ticket. Also, when she tried to scan your ticket, the light was red so maybe they had offered your premium economy seat to someone at the counter that night. This is a high possibility. So others watching this video, your chances of getting a business class upgrade is to buy a premium economy ticket.
