heres a rlly rlly rlly good idea i used about 3 sec to come up with if ur interested: buy an rc plane and mount a motor, some wings, and a tail on the box the plane comes in and fly the box with the plane still in it. i have no idea what you achive but this but its something you could spend ur valuable time on.

We were unimpressed with it as well. Sure, it can takeoff quick thanks to excess thrust and land short thanks to reverse thrust but it really didn't fit the mold of a true STOL plane for us. Stay tuned for our thoughts on the UMX. Review is in progress.

Just a suggestion here, but indoors is the perfect place to fly rc blimps, inflatable airliners, and ultralight super tiny aircraft. Another fun idea is using nerf darts to shoot down RC planes/helis. Perhaps the goal could be to survive for 2 minutes without crashing down or something.
