Hello! Question- how did you handle you having to use the bathroom durning the flight? I’ve flown 5 times between Paris and Los Angeles (11+ hours) with my 40lb hound in cabin. I’ve only ever done this with my partner, so if I use the restroom, I leave the dog with my partner. I’m flying alone now with the dog and wondering … how did you handle this situation flying alone? Thanks!!

Great question. The day of travel you start to wean them off water and food, almost the whole day so that night during flying theres not much in his system. He held it the whole time, hes use to the long travel so was no problem for him!

Yes because not everyone with a esa has trained there dog to be well behaved and they started to interfere with service dogs and unfortunately the call had to be made for the safety of service dog handlers

Very cool, but I noticed that was not a big plane. I would be flying with a Great Dane who would have to be in a crate for 11-14 hours. That was a beautiful Blue Euro Dane, something I am going to get, Black Blue or Brindled is what I want. 7 hours in a cabin isn;t the same. I will keep looking.. TY

Aw thank you! And yes! The heat definitely takes a toll on him, so keeping him in the shade and indoor with and AC as much as possible. I would also hose him down to cool off and TONs of water! Other then that, he LOVED it in Panama!

I don’t even know where to start - 1) HE IS BEAUTIFUL!!! 2) I was just in Bocas del Toro for a day trip from Costa Rica and it was GORGEOUS!! 3) I found your video b/c after our stay in Puerto Viejo CR, we are thinking about snow birding it down there, but I won’t leave my Harl GD for 3 months (1 week was hard enough!!) so I’m starting research on logistics. I actually used to work for USDA-APHIS-Veterinary Services doing the live animal export certification, so I’m familiar with that. I also have live animal logistics experience, but that was for day-old poultry. So, I’m starting my research on what it would take to fly my doggo to CR, because I REFUSE to put him in cargo, but unfortunately he is not a Service or ESA (in my heart he is) dog. So I was thinking about looking into a private charter from TX or Miami, but I’m assuming the cost will be outrageous. Did you look into that? My other question is my GD is SUPER against any slick or shiny floors, like what you often see in airports - from what I could tell, Baloo didn’t seem to have any issues with that? Are you going back and forth from Panama to US or was this a one time trip and you’re staying down there? Finally, last question - if I’m able to get my doggo down there, I’m also EXTREMELY particular on his food (Wellness brand that only comes in 30lb bags - but we go through 2/month) are you able to find your brand of dog food down there or get it shipped to you? (this is my first time EVER commenting on a YT video, but I was so impressed and loved it so much, and it seemed like the universe wanted me to see it because I totally see why you’d want to share your beautiful doggo with a beautiful country!!)

My SD is a 160lbs Newfoundland and I’ve avoided flying because of this. My husband is joining the Coast Guard and I am anxious about having to move to a location that we have to fly. This video relieved a lot of anxiety that it’s possible but I have to ask- what class seating did you purchase to accommodate your ESA’s size? I’m having a hard time gauging if I could fit my boy in a row without concern

He was definitely in first class, I’m in the army with a 200lb St. Bernard and I just can’t fly with him. Not because he I’ll tempered and he is my ESA, but he sheds so much it wouldn’t be good for long plane rides. But everyone situation is different!

Morgan, your Great Dane seemed so chilled - not restless like my Taiwan Black dog would be. So, if I'm not mistaken you flew from LA to Panama with him at your feet. Usually a dog this size is required to be in a crate in the cargo hold area. ??? Is this a emotional support dog? Thanks, I'm checking out Skillshare also. Ed

If you get anxious when you fly, how are you so comfortable sky diving? Or are you freaking out during that too? Genuinely curious. I know for me I hate being restricted within the plane but have had no problems jumping

haha great question. For me traveling is social anxiety, hence why I travel to places with little people! Skydiving only has a couple people on the plane in a place with no where in sight, but yes skydiving freaks me out in the holy wow kind fun way.

my dane freaked out in my cessna 150.. He loved getting in it and accelerating down the run way.. but on lift off he hit the dirt.. and only lifted his head high enough to confirm his worst nightmare.. that he was not on the ground!!!.. and then hit the dir t again and stayed there until I landed.. then he was happy.

Nothing wrong with traveling during the pandemic as long as you're safe and smart about it. For starters I have already gotten COVID months before. Secondly I quarantined before my travel dates, 3rd I had to get a PCR test upon arriving, and lastly I had to quarantine once arrived. In Bocas Del Toro, there were currently 4 actives cases that were all in isolation.

Please don't make a comment about my dog and my situation without knowing anything about me or my dog. Yes he is a registered service dog for me, yes he is also and ESA dog. With all the proper training and certifications. You know nothing about my health or background or even what he's for. Please don't make assumptions you don't know the answer to.

@@moliverallen ESA and service dogs are not the same. There's no registration for service animals. ESA is something people use to get away with anything. Plus the head halter with the pulling is not considered "fully trained". Don't fake service animals. If this dog is truly a SERVICE DOG what are two tasks he is trained to perform?

@@moliverallen there is NO such thing as a “registered” service dog or a “certified” service dog. It’s a scam it is just something people do to be able to take their pets everywhere, it makes the lives of real service dog handlers 10x worse!
