I hope you got a significant prize for clearly being the one who flew their Cardinal the furthest! All of these videos have been very well done and are certainly inspiring. Great job!

You should have cleared Canadian customs at Windsor or Sarnia, where they have agents stationed. I've never had to wait, when I clear at an airport with a land crossing close by or international commercial flights. But then in the last 10-15 crossings; I've never actually had a Canadian customs agent come to the plane, they clear me over the phone.

Probably no chance for me getting cleared over the phone since I'm not a Canadian citizen, but yes, lesson learned.

Great trip. Congratulations for this awesome series. No I’m sure we met each other in Oshkosh at CFO dinner, without knowing ;-) Greetings from Germany

Sooo, I'm thru all your vids and can only say WHOAA 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Top notch use of the cameras, gear, commentaries, yourself, and your flying equipment. I sure can relate to some of the problems you encountered during your NAT crossing (did the same, though extended and "VFR" in my homebuilt in 2022 , YT vids available under RV-6.9i HB-YLL), and love your attitude and positivity. I also appreciate your "style" of flying, mirroring the search of efficiency I'm also after. The Cardinal is a lovely and quite capable aircraft in itself, and yours has one of the best panels around, sweet. Very much looking forward to the next episodes (and more than appreciate the work involved in the editing/publishing of vids 😉).

I am surprised you didn't land at Toronto City Centre. Very beautiful approach my favorite airport to land in. Glad you got to fly over downtown! also, Oshkosh sounds so intimidating! thank you for sharing all your adventures, very impressive!

I definitely should have done that, looking in hindsight. But I thought Burlington, small airport, no hassle, etc.. lesson learned. And landing at City Center will be on the next episode, so stay tuned 🙂

$1000 fuel and 2 hrs for customs, glad you’re enjoying the Canadian bureaucracy…..😂

So true, pure bureaucracy

Yeah, I hope they get something going online like the States. All the information is filled online instead of waiting on hold for a long time and then passing all your info letter after letter for 15 or so minutes to the customs officer. Inefficient use of the officer's time.
