Pretty country. I miss the desert and mountains. My wife and I taught many years at Tohatchi on the Navajo Reservation. I instructed in the Cessna 140 at Monte Vista Colorado 7600' summers while she got her master's at Adams State. All the high passes required up drainage ingress up to the pass and down drainage egress. Bonanza and C-180 can often, not always, climb up in the parks, but what I flew didn't have the gas or even power to get there without orographic lift or thermal lift. Thanks for the video.

Just stumbled across your channel - great content! Great panel... only thing to add is the GFC500!

Nice work Dude! Dug it. I can’t watch most of the content out there cause the crappy home-made music drives me crazy. This was well done…Great editing, music not overdone, and you and your buddy are cool dudes. (I own a Cessna T210 & 310Q) Keep it up!

What a beautiful flight!!! Um way to keep your cool with the mechanical issues. I would have needed a new pair of underpants and my pee bottle. Glad you got to enjoy some powder out there. The snow caps on the way to Salida were amazing too.

Thanks Sage! Most issues in flight are manageable as long as you don't lose your cool. Even if the alternator had failed, which it didn't, there are multiple back up systems and procedures.

@@VTalesAviation Ok but I am still bringing my pee bottle!!!

Is the main reason you chose the dual g500's over g3x's, is to better sync with your autopilot? Or were there any other major differences/reasons? Thanks! Love the vids!

Thanks! I did my panel upgrade in 2 phases. When I first put in the MFD and EIS the G3X wasn’t available yet.

Am i correct you used approach flaps on take off from telluride? For altitude i presume? Also without being turbo, you find any disadvantages to flying in the mountains? I'm a big skier and looking to make the same trips in the f33a.
@VTalesAviation Жыл бұрын
@draudio2u yes, that’s correct. Approach flaps helps you on take off at density altitude in a Bonanza.

Avionics panel looks great. Who did the work? What autopilot do you have? Great vids.
@VTalesAviation2 жыл бұрын
@Philip Bloom thanks! The panel was done by Smart Avionics in PA. They did a great job! The autopilot was pretty much the only thing I kept. It is a kfc200.
