Nothing like owning/flying a Bonanza of any model. Piston Powered Single engine at its best. Congratulations.

@James Jinnette I live out of Orlando, hangar wait is around 1.5 to 2 years out, I have been flying a 182 at our flying club... one day, I will pull the plug and get my plane.. I saw a v35 1970 around 6000 on the frame 167k, 1000 on the engine

I wish there was some more information on this trip like how much fuel you burned which FBO's you stopped at This would make a really good video with some narration over it

I appreciate your comment. I really only made this video for myself and to have the memories of the trip preserved rather than have it be seen by so many folks. Created it really quickly just to have it done. So many other things in hindsight I could have done. As is the case with all my stuff - but there’s only so much time and these things take a lot of time to do.

THAT.. was a GREAT video!!! I recently bought a 77 V35 and flew her back to Fl. from California. Now I have to say your videos are much better, which made me want to ask...What was the camera you were using? How did you control the rotation? And, how did you attach to the bird? Thank you! Oh...LOVE the music!
@JJinnette2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Jay that’s very kind. I make these videos to remember flights long after they are over…. I use GoPro Max360s and NFlightCam mounts. I also take photos with my iPhone. I make the videos on my iPhone using the GoPro Quik app then use the splice app to add in music and edit further sometimes. It has more options and controls. With the quick app, once you download the segments of the flight you like, you go in and tell the 360 camera where to look after the fact, as it is always filming 360 - so you can sort of direct what you want to present my moving your finger around on the iPhone, while adjusting the camera view, setting it, then doing that several times on a clip to create the changing camera view you like to show the scenes. It takes a bit to learn it, then it sort of becomes a hobby in itself to make the videos. I think it’s fun. I’m really not satisfied with any of my videos because I see flaws in all of them but I do like to turn on my KZbin channel and relive those flights. Which is really what it’s all about.

Nice Bonanza, very nice. What kind of mount, stick and camera did you use? I want that exact setup for my Arrow. I want to watch my gear retract.

@@JJinnette Funny how you replied two months ago and it just popped up in my feed. I got the NFlightcam mount but I do not have the 360.

What engine do you have? 520 or 550? What kind of speed? Beautiful airplane!
@JJinnette2 жыл бұрын
It’s a 550, such a great engine. Speed depends on RPM and manifold pressure (wide open throttle or reduced) and altitude and whether I fly lean of peak or rich of peak. In the first part of the video you can see I was getting 193 knots rich of peak. Now I usually fly lean of peak and get around 150 knots on 125 ish gallons per hour. So if up high that’s like 180-190 mph no wind. In this video on the east bound leg from Texas to North Georgia at 9500’ I saw 235 mph ground speed with a tailwind. Not exact but something like that. I’m still learning how to fly the airplane well.

Does your B4 autopilot work? The 66 V35 is the best one 👌😉
@JJinnette2 жыл бұрын
I do like this airplane! The autopilot does a good job of altitude hold but I was told it doesn’t work and I haven’t used it beyond altitude. Worked great all the way home from Oregon. I will eventually need a new autopilot but need some Avidyne first

Great looking plane. You won’t regret any upgrades. Tailwinds.

Everytime that you land at an airport,do you have to pay a fee? If so, what does the fee run?
@JJinnette2 жыл бұрын
Some big airports charge landing fees but in general you just land and taxi to the FBO and they ask if you want fuel. If so you buy gas. Sometimes if you don’t buy gas they might charge 10-20 dollars to park overnight. It’s generally just like going to a gas station. And if you stay overnight they charge a parking fee unless you get a fill up.
