Ayala avenue at mga side streets ng mismong CBD ang maganda sa Makati pero paglabas mo ng CBD kahit sa edge palang ng Buendia ang pangit na agad ng sidewalk 😮

Makati city isn't a district tho, it is one of the cities in Metro Manila. Still Makati is an independent city

You are comparing Apples to Oranges. Hongkong is a small region under Special Administrative Regions of China, They had to build high-rises due to its small region of 1,115 km² only. Meanwhile Makati city is only 1 city among 16 cities in Metro Manila, and Metro Manila is 1 region among 17 regions in the Philippines. The correct comparison would be Metropolitan Tokyo vs. Metro Manila. :)
