I remember when Milkha Singh came to my college to deliver a speech. We had set up two mic on either sides of the stage. Milkha Singh took notice that the left mic was louder than the right one ( every guest spoke on the right one ). When his turn came he declared that he will speak on the left mic, where the students were supposed to speak. Even at the age of 87 his mind was absolutely sharp and aware. He took notice of what nobody else could.

Milkha being a true gentleman, Congratulated the winner! Wish he had the facilities like in other nations, I am sure Milkha would have beaten the existing records! Sadly, even after 60 years, our plight is the same

I am not much disappointed with milkha singh coming 4 th it does hurt a little ,but more than that we the population of 1.2 billion+ never again made it possible after that , what's wrong with us inspite of so much talent, even today 3-4 medals in olympic we become so happy offcourse as an individual it's a huge achivement , but I think time is up for our country to make a change and give importance to all athletic sports , football ,hockey . Not just cricket.

..Nothing going to change,Due to politics and cricket.Other sports are being underrrated.. Personally from my childhood I wanted to become a Ping Pong 🏓 player but there is no opportunity for that game in our locality and also our country and hence I forced to become a primary teacher 👩‍🏫‍. That's where talents are unnoticed
@i_am_RB
@i_am_RB 3 жыл бұрын
@@The_Genius478 guess the boards need to do something. Nobody outside the board did anything for cricket. The men behind cricket had to work really hard to make cricket a noticeable sport by 1970s. After India won the world cup, it is BCCI, a private board, took many back to back right steps to make cricket the number 1 game of India. Same needs to be done by the boards of other big team games. For the invidual Olympics sports, I agree that government must do something. But you need to give credit to masters of the cricket board. With no initial government help, they climbed the summit.

Sports are sports, Movies creates drama which fades actual reality. What I was surprised to know was the winner was a basketball player who defeated all. 😅
