Good stuff!! I’m in DTC a couple times per month and considering flight lessons there. Pattern work has to be intense vs my home airport (KJAZ) Any recommendations?? Thanks great videos!

Thanks a lot 😀Centennial can get pretty busy. I normally like to take my airplanes out for my instrument practice out of the area to less congested airports like, LIC or AKO. For flight lessons I'd probably recommend Aspen (a bit more expensive) or Centennial Flyers. Best wishes to you! 😀

Hey Raul, I know it's been a while since I asked, but have you checked insurance rates if you added on a Commercial Pilot rating? Also, my insurance carrier gave me a bit of a discount for being in the FAA's Wings program. All extra money to put fuel in the tanks!

Hi Buddy, Yes, FAA Wings is a great learning tool and can offer up to a 5% discount on rates. I have a broker that filled me in on how to get better rates and also keep them as low as possible. Currently, I have some very low rates and they can't get much lower for me unless I was able to get between 5000 - 10,000 hours. Rates are mostly determined by type of airplane, hull value, seats, time on the make and model, instrument rating (depending on make and model), recurrent training (including FAA Wings and added ratings), and the amount of time flown per year (over 200 or more normally gives the best rates). A commercial rating, for example, can only be applied once and it would give me the same discount equal to FAA Wings and/or recurrent training. So what I like to do to keep my rates low year over year is flight time (try to do 200 hours or more per year) and training (including the Wings). Thanks for the heads-up buddy! 😃

Absolutely, there are several videos with him taking over the controls flying the Cherokee Six and the Saratoga. He flies and handles them incredibly well. Very precise staying on altitude and heading. Thanks for that! 😀

It seems almost impossible to get a check ride. I’m in the Houston area and have no contact with a DPE - now 30 days since I first reached out. Nothing but horror stories. Failed government.
