i HAVE BEEN FLYING THE VULCAN FOR OVER 6 MONTHS AND HAVE OVER 200 FLIGHTS. This is a great flying EDF jet. I fly with HMS 4S 4200 and 5000 batteries and have no problem with Knife Edge flight. I get 4 /75 minute flights and land with 25% LEFT, I use 50% throws and no expo. I really like the 4mm struts on the gear and the metal housing allows me to fly off of manicured grass without issue.

Good job Wes! I like my 6S, but like this scheme better.

In another forum, a guy flies this stock 4s Vulcan, 60A ESC with 6s :-). Which draws 80A . WOT with less than 10seconds though. But I believe 5s should be better choice, not on the edge :-)

Vulcan is fast, the 6s version is probably the fastest stock EDF.

The Mirage gets going pretty quick!

My mirage def beats out my 6s vulcan for speed, and apparently the FW F-5 Tigershark beats the mirage, so it's on my short list -:)
@mach99082 жыл бұрын
@@tomheetderks9997 Wow I don't even know F-5 is that fast. Maybe I'll get one next spring. On my list, I have Vulcan beats FMS 80mm Futura, and FMS Futura beats both FMS 70mm avanti and FW 80mm Avanti :-)

@@mach9908 NIce! I'm eying the new V3 futura, great scheme -:) yeah, the FW F-5 is super small and light weight, just like the Mirage, and it really hauls A$$ !!

@@tomheetderks9997 The F5 is light? I think it has heavy wing loading. How light is yours? Specs, please. Thx.

slightly bigger than the rebel but the rebel is more cosmetically pleasing. Why would someone buy this over the rebel, eflite viper, or even the freewing yak 130 to an extent? Not trying to be nasty but I just like a useful comparative analysis when there are several planes on the market so close together.
@SEYOTwo2 жыл бұрын
What? The Yak is an awesome plane. You're missing out, seriously. I'm not trying to argue it at all, just encouraging you to look at it again. You may not like the looks but the flight characteristics are super fun. The Yak is well worth the time and money. I do wish it had suspension nose gear but it won't deter me from buying another one. I have a few great looking edfs, and yet, I love the Yak because of how FUN it is.

Hey nice flying I was wondering what does it need to run a 6s pack
@dronepilot260rc2 жыл бұрын
Esc swapped and send it lol might cook the motor but should be able to handle 5s for sure

We also sell a 6S version PNP

Would you recommend this plane or the Banshee as a first EDF. Just not sure if I want to get into the large battery’s..
@MotionRC2 жыл бұрын
Agree with markmcc21 I would say do you want retracts also the Vulcan has retracts and the banshee does not. The Banshee uses smaller batteries though. You can’t go wrong with both models but if your primarily a hand launch and belly Lander the Banshee would be the better option. If you have access to a runway the Vulcan may be a better choice.

In rcgroups, flyers fly this Jet with CG moved back 10-15mm from stock CG. Stock CG is quite nose heavy. ????

A hair of crow would really stabilize the airframe. It is wild how much of a difference there is with a few degrees of aileron deflection. I'd also like to have seen some stall characteristics in this video. Nice work both of you!
