Very proud of my Dad who was a flight instructor in SNJs at Pensacola in the 50s - went thru his logs & he flew over 800 different SNJs, tracked them all on the net & about 30 of them are still flying, 1 he flew is hanging in a hall at NAS Whiting Field!

Your father probably trained my father! He learned to fly the SNJ at Pensacola in 1956. He went on to do two cruises in Vietnam as a USN fighter pilot, in Crusaders. Then a career as test pilot and then executive aircraft all over the world. I came to this video because I'm writing a book about his amazing life. Sounds like your father would have a good book there, too! :)

By the way, is your father still with us? I wouldn't mind interviewing him if he would be up to it. Just a few questions. My father's name was Tom Friedrich, by the way. He died in 2016 - too young, too soon, aged 81.
