Flying the updated JustFlight PA28 Piper Arrow from Friday Harbor in Microsoft Flight Simulator

A quick flight around the islands around Friday Harbor in Microsoft Flight Simulator - putting the aircraft through it's paces. The biggest take-away - I probably need to invest in some rudder pedals - the twist-grip on my joystick is slowly losing fidelity.

The manifold pressure should be the outside pressure when the engine is off, so it is displaying correctly.

Thank you Jonathon for an interesting itinerary. I am not surprised that there were issues with the wind/crosswind; if you look carefully at your last landing, you will see that the first windsock is blowing in the opposite direction to the second just a few yards further down the runway.😅

Have lots of real world hours in BGKU based at Conington UK. Injected Lycoming start procedure. To prime, open throttle about a third, mixture cut off, fuel pump on, mixture rich watch for fuel flow count to 3, mixture cut off. Set throttle about 1/2 inch, turn key to start, when the engine fires mixture rich, pump off. After take off set manifold pressure 25 prop 25. For cruise I use 23/24 and lean mixture to 10 gals/hour on the flow meter. On final check red/blue/green in other words mixture rich, prop full fine and 3 greens. Was one of my favourites.

I love this route and will use it with a slower aircraft, e.g., Tiger Moth/Cub in a future group event.

Wondeful video and inspiration! I did a similar round trip today in the A2A Comanche. Many spectacular airfields in the area. Besides my old favorites KFHR (Asobo hand crafted) and KORS (Orbx), I really liked 38WA. I was surprised you don't seem to have Mamudesigns' wonderful freeware marinas addon installed. It adds lots of marinas, piers and static boats and makes the coast feel so much more alive. Highly recommended!

I have the same ground control "problem" in the Arrow; I'm not sure if its a FS2020 problem, a Arrow problem, or a combination of both. Other light aircraft do not exhibit the same ground control problems

Great video Jonathan! The Piper Arrow used to be my favourite GA aircraft when it was first released. Since then it has become almost silly to fly as it is ultra twitchy and with this new update the autopilot is broken, certainly with the TDS GTNNXI integration selected. Altitude hold works but HDG and NAV do not. Very disappointing and I hope "Just Flight" fix this together with the erratic rudder behaviour. Until then it is for me back to the C14AW Chancellor with which I will have a go at your flight around the islands.😊

I'm glad that Just Flight keeps updating the PA28s. It is actually the only GA aircraft I fly in MSFS. I haven't got A2A's Commanche yet, but I guess I'll have to get my hands on it :)

I'd uninstalled the PA-28s as they were constantly CTD. Will definitely give them another go. I really like the Turbo Arrow - it can fly up in the FLs but is slow and simple enough to keep the workload down.

The notes in JustFlight support tell you exactly what is fixed - in this instance there's quite a few small things that are fixed.

If you use TDS GTNXI then this update will break it. I reported this to Just Flight who then tested it and confirmed my findings. They cannot, however, predict when a fix will be avilable. @@jonbeckett

I feel like the aircraft flies quiet a bit to twitchy, especially the amount of stick you need to apply when landing and also the tourque of the engine when taking of all give you the unpleasant feeling of flying a uncontrollable aircraft.

In VR the tablet is almost useless. Dont these devs ever use VR like many of their customer try to? Trying to get close enough to see the text I lose headset tracking, lol.
