That camp looks like a lot of creative fun. I had no idea adult creative camps were a thing. Such a great idea turning your sketchbook into a yearbook. You’ll have those memories forever now. 🩵

Yes, girl! Introverts are so misunderstood. But you have to have friends that get you. My friends know they have me one weekend a month. And I will be the first to leave so I can recharge my batteries! But like you, I force myself to get out of my comfort zone. Love this video!

It's so lovely to see where I live through another person's eyes! I love all the small towns scattered through the Catskills, I hope you got to visit lots of cute places while you were here! If you ever come back I recommended visiting the town of Catskill! There's lots of cute shops and cafes on the main street here!

Oh my... I love the energy and introspection in this video!! It doesn't really matter, but I grew up in the Catskills region and seeing the scenery sparked something in me; a warm nostalgia I didn't know I needed. I haven't been back there since I was a child. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us, what a wonderful opportunity this was!

It terrifies me to think of being around that many people and have to do things with them, but I totally understand that feeling of not belonging and the imposter syndrome. Just think of it this way- imposter syndrome doesn’t exist. You ARE an artist, you DO have talent, and you CAN belong in more than one place. We all just have to take that scary step to find them. (I’m saying this as I hide from the world from exhaustion and overwhelm even though I can’t seem to accomplish anything) 😮
@apple.cheeks7 ай бұрын
It terrified me so much too commuting to this trip, but the imposter syndrome quickly went away as soon as I started to get to know everyone better! We’re all just here to make our best work and have fun and it ended up great ❤️❤️❤️

The notebook yearbook was so cute! As an introvert that is in my late 20s, it has been weird to see friendships leave and not being able to as easily make new friendships. I feel at this stage in my life, it's hard for me to connect as some people want more surface level conversations whereas I feel more comfortable with deeper conversations
@apple.cheeks6 ай бұрын
yeah! I struggle with the same, and sometimes because of that I accidentally share too much too soon hahah

As an introvert I had never craved community and never have problem making friends as an introvert I had never made a lot of them but have never a difficultie making them but I do met a ton of people who are a social anxiety low energy extrovert. even more in the artist spectrum I think is because artist have the need to seclude while working that end up thinking they are introvert and become afraid of making friends out of anxiety also found that a lot of the burn out comes from this anxiety that get growing from social media work so people always remember to not put a tag on yourself and keep walking with it without cuestioning if ''that'' is really you but over all always have in mind that change is at anybody reach and is ok to redescover you again and again. ❤

oh I related so much when you said you felt like you didn't belong anywhere because that's me right now. and it's amazing to see that you found an experience like that, one that forces you to put yourself out there. and these days i hate that i am forced to just be online or whatever (mainly because of my job too), when all i want is to leave my phone, live in the present, and try to make new friends. but I don't have those opportunities. Love the vlog!! What a treat! Do you have an estimate of how much a retreat like this costs for those of us interested in going to something like this too?
@apple.cheeks6 ай бұрын
I think it really depends on the location that CC chooses + catering + plane ticket cost! But for this, you can go to the Autocamp website if you just wanted to rent a airstream, they have a few places in different states. I also believe you can apply to go to a Creator Camp and get more info from them :)

Whenever I feel imposter syndrome creeping up I remind myself of a story Neil Gaiman one shared. He was at a meal or event to celebrate great people and he was looking around seeing scientists and doctors and couldn’t understand why he had been invited, a man came over and introduced himself as Neil they laughed about how they had the same name. After a little bit of chatting the man said to Gaiman I don’t know why i’m here i just went where they told me to do, i didn’t do anything. To which Gaiman replied, you were the first man on the moon! He was talking with Neil Armstrong. Also, introvert vs extrovert, it’s all about what recharges you better. Do you feel better and recharge after spending time alone or do you feel better after being around people. And there is also introverted extroverts and extroverted introverts.
