G'day mate! Thank you for sharing your video! Glad to hear you had a wonderful time! As a Sydneysider I know these areas myself although I'm very choosy as to where I visit these days. Places in Sydney I recommend you visit are Darling Harbour (with a visit to the Chinese Garden of Friendship), the Botanical Gardens & if you like art, the Art Gallery of NSW. Of course if you love animals, definitely recommend you visit Taronga Zoo.

If/when you come back, two great times in Sydney are New Years, the synchronised fireworks and music ~ 9pm and 11.30pm in the city are amazing. Another is May-June where for 23 days the Vivid Festival takes over the city. Light shows projected on the buildings (you saw a small sample on the Opera House), interactive lights paths, light statues, fairy lights on the trees. Words can't do it justice. It's cold, but magical.

@@user-rz8pt1nt4uAre you drunk? Which country are both cities in? And, whatever country cities are situated in make the whole story of that country, because that is where the vast majority of humans usually live, in cities! Along with the natural beauty of countries it’s their people and places that make up the whole story of a country. Come on, you can’t be that docile not to realise this?
@triarb5790 Жыл бұрын
@@user-rz8pt1nt4u More than 90% of the Australian population lives in cities. And on the East coast at that. Yes, Australia is vast and both the Bush and the Outback you'd think should be integral to a visit. But the reality is that for most tourists, Sydney is Australia. They don't see its vastness because the flights they take, usually across the Pacific, doesnt take them across the landmass. Europeans, especially backpackers, are more adventurous and see how vast we are from the plane window. Albeit they do a predictable route e.g.Byron, Cairns and Uluru and sometimes Rottnest. It's ok. It leaves the beauty, the vastness, the variety, the thousands of kms of beaches and the awesomeness that is Australia for us Australians to enjoy in peace. What's so bad about that?

just caught this vid. happy you loved sydney. hope you can get to melbourne if you haven’t already visited. was curious about your thoughts on lambton quay. i lived in welly for years and was recently there for a week. i think it was ludicrous they removed the pedestrian mall in manners st. that was difficult to adjust to. lambton quay probably should be a mall too; kind of makes sense. one thing i love about welly is how walkable it is from courtenay place to the beehive.

Lambton Quay is going to change at some point to being carless and fully pedestrianised with only buses coming through. I reckon that’s for the best!

here are 10 small tips to any US citizen that wants to come to Australia. 1. leave your attitude along with your guns at the departure lounge. 2. don't panic! it will be there waiting for you when you get back, we don't want it. 3. you cannot buy, nor carry a gun over here, this is not the wild west as it is in the USA. 4. enjoy the sites the food and the different cultures. 5. Australia has a culture, they have song, dance and food and we are proud of it. 6. The US has, Levi's jeans, McDonalds, mass shootings, guns and bombs and you are proud of it? 7. take lots of photo's, buy the occasional souvenir. 8. when you get back to the US "the home of the brave and the free," pick up your gun and your attitude, you will notice it is still there in tact as you left it. 9. Show your friends the photo's and tell them you had a nice time. 10. Oh and don't forget to tell your friends you experienced real freedom for the first time in your life not having to carry a gun!
