Flying to the USS Midway in San Diego in my Cirrus sr22

Hooyah! Thanks for checking us out Sean. In my 20 years in the Navy, I was in an A-7 Corsair II squadron, multiple F-14 Tomcat squadrons, a S-3 Viking squadron, and even a P-3 Orion squadron. What airport did you fly into I love watching the videos got my ppl last year in a sr20 so it all relates. Need to make more videos ha. Maybe a cost of ownership too.

I flew into Montgomery-Gibbs (KMYF). I will keep recording these flights and all, it’s fun. I’ll be doing a 1 year ownership video very very soon, and should have some numbers there. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the tour of the Midway, but would have loved to see more flying. For example you speed past your go around without an explanation. I would have like to know what happened so I can look for the same thing(s) for when I fly. Just saying. Not trying to put you on blast.

Absolutely! I went around because when I set up for final I was still a little high (new airport and environment) so I landed a little further down the runway than I was comfortable with. I’ll be sure to capture those moments in the future.

Enjoyed the flight and conversation. Enjoy seeing a bit more of what you are seeing. The camera angle from behind you is not the best. Maybe a wing or tail camera.
