Great video. I’m getting ready to fly to Nevada to assist my son on his antelope hunt. You just reaffirmed my thoughts and idea on how to pack the rifle case….👍

Awesome video. I fly with firearms several times a year and I still picked up some good tips. Thanks for sharing

Great video just came back from Africa flew Emirates and Airlink. Issues that I had were always due to carrying ammo in checked in luggage. 😊

So to be clear Are we allowed to carry ammo in my rifle case as long as it’s own locked box. If so this would have saved me lots of aggravation . I would suggest not to over take ammo. Any ammo that’s left over just leave there.

Excellent! Like the soft-case idea. I just worry about drop damage and cavitating scrapes. Additionally, storing your knife in there is probably overlooked at times? Thanks for reviewing.

What about flying just with a suppressor? Does it still need to be in a hard case by themselves or a pelican case in your checked bag?

Great vid! What set up are you rocking with that rifle?

You are able to take your suppressor from state to state as long as you have paperwork? I. Thought that it was only good for your state of purchase.
@ExoMtnGear2 жыл бұрын
Suppressors are federally regulated and the approval applies throughout the US, with specific exemptions for states that do not allow suppressors (CA, IL, NY, etc). There is some great information on legality here: americansuppressorassociation.com/education/

I've never had to have locks on every latch. I use a Pelican 1750 case with two locks. Have you ever actually been ordered to put locks on every latch, or is this a precaution on your part? Many thanks! Love my 4800 and 6400 packs.

Some TSA Agents will require every latch to have a lock. Others will accept enough locks so that you cannot pry open the case and access the inside. This might mean only two locks, if your case is exceptionally stiff. Play it safe and have enough for every location, if needed.

@@br_ak7588 What airports have you been to where they required locks on every location? Just curious, because while I have heard people say this can happen, I haven't actually heard of anyone who this happened to. As long as the case can't be readily pried open, that covers the TSA rules. "You may transport unloaded firearms in a locked hard-sided container as checked baggage only. Declare the firearm and/or ammunition to the airline when checking your bag at the ticket counter. The container must completely secure the firearm from being accessed. Locked cases that can be easily opened are not permitted." "You may use ANY brand or type of lock to secure your firearm case, including TSA-recognized locks."

Great video! A bit off topic, but can you comment which scope cover you are using? Been looking for a lightweight alternative...
