I am surprised they let you put them on the seats AND out of the carrier! On most airlines it is a big no no, i often fly with my cat on Air Canada and if you just put the carrier on your lap they tell you it has to go back under the seat striaght away. You were lucky indeed.

Yes we were! We always ask if it is okay. They usually allow it when the seats around are empty.

my cat came out of the carrier in a plane and walked along the aisle, this was in 1997 and people werent as crazy then

As your cats also seem really attachted to each other - how do they handle being in seperate crates? I have two sisters and they never travel individually (bus, train, vet) and are usually glued together. I am worried that the more sensitive one of them will get really scared without her sister.

Hello :) thank you for your comment ❤️ my cats handled being in separate crates very well. My sister's cats are also always glued together so she got them huge crate so they can be together. Every cat is so different ❤️ wish you all the best with your kitties during your travels ❤️

Ďakujem za toto video 🙈 ... mám v pláne letieť budúci rok do Thajska aj s mojím kocúrom. Pravdepodobne tiež s Austrian Airlines ☺. Akurát si zisťujem všetky možne informácie a bol som z toho celého procesu trošku nesvoj 😅. Všetky podmienky pre let, očkovania a rôzne certifikáty 😁 ... všetko to znie na "papiery" tak prísne 😳 ale ako vidím tak žiaden problém. Ešte ked vám dovolili aby kocúr vybehol von počas letu 😂

Držím palce :) ❤ ano na papiery to vždy vyzera strasidelne ale nastastie je cely proces celkom jedoduchý. S austrian airlines som s kocúrom letela už tri krát a vždy bez problémov. ❤ prajem vám štastnu cestu do Thajska!

@@Graytails Ďakujem 🙈 dúfam ,že sa všetko podarí bez problémov 😊 aj keď je možnosť ho nechať na SR. Ale zas myslím si ,že tu cestu prežije a aj tých pár presunov autom po Thajsku. Lebo je veľmi naviazaný na mňa . Neviem ako by sa správal keby je rok bez mňa 🥲

My cat and i will be moving to Thailand as well. In about two months, planning to fly out from Innsbruck to vienna and then Bkk, have not buy ticket yet. My cat is working on losing weight😅 on this video her cats weight over 1.4 kg and the agent is nice to let them on the plane. I hope it will happen to me too in case my cat can’t manage his weight 😊

I'm taking two on Austrian Airlines in a month. What size carrier? I'm worried about just using one. They're bonded but it's eight hours, so my flight will probably be completely full

Hello Veronica (I love name Veronica, my sister is called Veronica and I always like people with that name :) ) So the carrier size depends on the airline. Each airline has different regulation. The rule of thumb is that the carrier will fit under the sit in front of you. I have separated the cats in different carriers after we were seated because one carrier would be too small for both of them.
