Awesome vid man. One thing nobody tells you about using the ktuner is that, you need to upload the tune to the unit first, then flash it to ecu without the computer connected. I figured that out the hard way. I flashed many times straight from the computer and the process would fail 90% of the time, the progress bar would stay in the same place for 20-30 minutes. I would have to unplug it from the obd2 port and try again. It was very frustrating. I wish ktuner would address the issue. It works great when flashed through bluetooth on my phone. I don't know if anyone else had the same issue, maybe it was just my computer but i highly doubt it.

Does changing the cars modes affect the tune in any way? Just curious because I know there is a marked difference, at least on throttle position/response between comfort and sport.

i own a fk2 dont know if the fk8 is different in R mode but on the fk2 the throttle response changes and the suspension gets alot stiffer

Nice video Bro🤘🏻 1; a Honda tech dealer told me that those engines are very well prepared (almost all were forged) to get until 11000 revs without any problem, will be good idea increase or remove the revs limiter, try to go it to 9000 revs first. 2; in case you want could you please show us, modify the launch control, factory settings is setup to 3500revs, good value would be 5000. 3; after some weeks of use could be nice if you share the fuel consumption compared to stock. Its really not launch control at all it is simply a limiter put in place to avoid heavy strain on the cv joints, meaty tires and drive train during a launch.

Bosch is only for the Type R, the other Civics are developed by Honda themselves.

Keep it up gato. Just got a 2.o Accord manual, and although i kinda wish it was short shifter I'm very happy with my zero turbo lag and power throughout the band. Any Tuner using the stock ECU for the Type R will take a while, it's a Bosch ECU problem. You can check it out next Saturday 😁😁😁

yeah 10 minutes for reflashing is pretty redonk. because imagine all the subtle tweaks one makes while perfecting a tune. you know? lets say a tuning session needs are 10-20 tweaks(reflash for each tweak) thats 100-200 minutes wait time lol

Do you get traction by adding more power? Right now mine is completely stock and no traction at all. Iam in PA though. Im somewhat a little disappointed because i kept comparing it to my cla 45 amg which is awd. Im having mixed emotions after i bought it. Plus 2nd gear notchiness. I hope it will get better after putting a ktuner.

If the tune is the cause of a malfunction, which the dealer can prove, no. Whatever the tune messed up, will not be covered. Otherwise, you should be fine. Just flash back to stock when you go back to the dealer for any maintenance.

That is exactly what I have been seeing. So comfort mode can be stock, sport a mild bump, an R mode a big jump in power and noise.

I have ktuner and it’s great but if you into modifying the tune in case you add parts to engine ktuner will not help you to understand their program I have search and everyone else like hondata helps more to understand it. But I love the v2 ktuner

Stage 1 is insane, I think that'll be the limit for me, stage one loses traction through third gear

I would think heatsoak might be a issue stage 1 in the summer too. going awd now seems more tempting now, maybe a used bmw 245i with dinen or waiting for the new 2020 sti. make sure you address how stage 1 might be dangerous in certain weather conditions. i an sure rain wont be your friend

Honda won't really be able to tell that it was mapped as long as you flash it back to stock, there is in flash counter on this ecu, so no way to know

We'll start out with the stage 0 then the stage 1, then brake pads and tires, then intercooler, then downpipe, with tuning along the way. Tunes get updated through time.

For the Type R, you don't have to upgrade anything when you get a stage 1 or stage 0 tune, it's ok to just tune the factory car. What kind of tuning info are you looking for?
