Being an avionics engineer.I just write code but still I go through hell lot of regulations just to make sure that what I have written is 100% reliable. I fully support Gaurav. It's not just murder. We will be actually tried for negligence and may lose everything from job to life. We may even end up in Jail. Similar concern I raised for Rockwell Collins company. They weren't following the avionics guideline DO178B/C for avionics development properly. They were the one who developed flight navigation and controls for ill fated boeing 737x . I personally endorse Airbus more than boeing. I have worked on both boeing737x avionics (epc ) and Airbus A350xwb(epc) avionics. I personally feel Airbus takes a lot of time ensure safety. Now I have switched from being an avionics engineer to mobile and web development engineer. I worked in Honeywell for almost 6 years . They are the best in terms of following process. I haven't seen any other company which comes even 10% closer to Honeywell in terms of safety and process following. I follow rules and regulations so much even in my mobile development that people arround me feels uncomfortable. Although mobile and web is not life critical but still I want to continue my habbit.

May i know the future of automation, what would you suggest me to learn/do courses in my free time to fit in automation industry and hows the work-life in Honeywell (as you work there)? How many incidents are reported in India every year do you know. Most of them are maintainince issue due to cost cutting pressure from low cost airline. Any airline which is following procedure completely can't have fares less than Rs 8 k in India for its normal functioning. I have frequently seen numerous violations specially during the winter. I have stopped flying in India. I prefer my own vehicle or the Indian railways. AirIndia is the one I can trust and Kingfisher was in the past. Automation with ai and machine learning is future.

@@gametabulas Get a six month diploma from CDAC, Pune or Bangalore. They are govt agencies and lot of core companies visit for campus placement. You can try directly also for lateral entries in those companies. These companies only judge you on the basic of technical capabilities. Getting here is easy if you are technically good. I wasn't not good at communicating. Keep your basics strong. Learn technology with a view of practical usage rather than preparing for tricky questions.Automation with AI and Machine Learning is future.

DO NOT DELETE MY COMMENT You are a pilot and if you do your job honestly and follow all ICAO rest regulations, you won't have time to make such vlogs. A vlog a week is the max you can do. He was publishing one daily, which indicates the amount of time he was spending in them and that took a toll on his health and safety as a pilot. Air Asia is known as an employee centric airline, but their leave policy makes no sense. They did know Gaurav was putting that much time in youtube and it was their responsibility to talk to him regarding making a balance, they didn't. Perhaps that was the absolute minimum responsibility they had towards their staff. Sick leaves are not for attending parties or marriages functions. They are closely monitored leaves, especially for pilots where we have yearly medical checks and special medical checks at certain age, if you constantly exhaust the leaves, the company is bound to deroster you. And it is a serious fact, exhausting sick leaves as a pilot can be an indication of serious underlying issues, but we know it was a result of him being pressed with sponsor and youtube duties. We do owe him some respect for taking the pressure, but it was undue in my opinion, at least conaidering what his fulltime profession was. Medical records are also maintained and civil crew checked by Indian Air Force. The way he went vocal on youtube and being viral is a big red flag for any airline. Anyone would look for employees loyality rather than whistleblowers. He did address much needed issues, but the audience was inappropriate and people who fail to understand the industry and basics of an aircraft. It got sensationalised beyond what he wanted. Some of fans with some toxic mentality share the responsibility for him losing the job for taking things out of proportion. Here is the fiasco- If you put the bonus salary on stake vs a landing config, the pilot still has the final decision on flaps 4 or 3, but human nature will always not prefer to lose the bonus. While only a handful, less than 5% of Air Asia's route airfields in India aren't really any good for flaps 3 due to runway length, an inexperienced pilot can end up in tailstrike with that configuration. A lot of airports like Delhi, Mumbai or Kolkata have more than enough runway length to support flaps 3 landing and in my opinion it isn't a bad thing to save fuel and reduce noise pollution by going to that setting. A lot of airlines do that regardless of any notification. But in the end, you can't generalize every airport and put it in the same category of 90 something % landings with flaps 3, or salary cut

plzz dont talk without understanding facts, Air Asia policy states 21 days work 9 days rest, which was the main reason he shifted from indigo to Air Asia , to spend more time with his family....He started making daily vlogs, and dont forget, he also made vlogs even on the day of flights!, if u have a flight in the night, your whole day is free to vlog!, u wont have 4 sectors every day despite Air Asia having only 33 aircrafts and limited routes! Flaps are systems on wing primarily produced to decrease speed and increase lift...Flap 3 doesnt create as much lift as flap 4, which also means it doesnt decrease the speed as much as the decrease of speed in flap 4! At imphal , 3.5 degree glide slope is the procedure...if u have ever gone through Imphal airport charts you would know that the rate of descent is 865-990 per minute for a320 type...at that situation you will use flap 4, the higher the vertical speed, the more your speed increases! to eliminate that speed flap 4 is needed...its not just like flap 4 was NEEDED but flap 3 WILL DO THE WORK, there is no COMPROMISATION in aviation...SAFETY comes FIRST...And yes i regret about him bringing this into social media, DGCA is very strict that they insulted a pilot who announced a welcome for his wife on board on PA, and if gaurav has done this, you know what action they would take
