Another interesting detail is that the.30 carbine cartridge is not hard on barrels so even a war return is likely to have a serviceable barrel, those loaned to other countries may have been subject to heavy wear.

Where did you find the mag pouch for rge stock? Iam all so looking for a they bayonet . For my Grandfathers 1944 carbine .

What are your recommendations to fix failure to feed, eject? Other than changing the springs and use USGI mag?

failure to feed is almost always related to the magazine. Look at the magazine feed lips. See if they are bent or damaged. Failure to eject is most likely a weak extractor.

@@FlyingKSports Thank you for the input. I did replace the recoil and extractor springs,purchased 2 USGI magazines along with other “USGI mags”. Noticed two of the so called USGI have an open bolt stop follower. I am still having issues, but with the two other magazines shot 30 rounds without issues. Not sure if I should send to somewhere or shoot it more to see what happens.

I often wondered do they make a pistol in .30 carbine caliber, like a revolver with a long barrel. Just wondering....? I know it doesn't have a rimmed cartrage case.

Yes. Ruger has the Blackhawk chambered in .30 Carbine. Great revolver.

I have a WW2 Quality Hardware( Spring Tube) with Underwood Barrel...too valuable to shoot anymore Feb 2024 purchased new Inland Carbine, found that M1 Carbine Ammo is getting scarce to buy. With several companies like Inland, Auto Ordance etc make M1 Carbine you would think Ammo would be more Available. Bought 4 box at $39 at Cabela's in Ohio. Hit Cabela's in other states no M1 Carbine Ammo

$40 a box is about as good as I’ve seen for 30 Carbine ammo. Like you said, it’s getting harder to find.
