Irish football fan here, the reason UCD are terrible is because they’re not really a team. They’re literally a university team. UCD stands for University College Dublin, and the entire team is just kids who got athletic scholarships and have been allowed the opportunity to play in the premier division. It’s not actually in the aim of winning anything, it’s just so they can get the opportunity to be scouted/noticed by bigger clubs and it allows them to kickstart their football career. TL;DR, AFC UCD is a college initiative to help kids get a better chance at a career in football.
