4 stars on URUGUAY football jersey means they have won 2 Olympic Gold medals in 1924 and 1928 and the 1930 and 1950 world cups ...as before the FIFA WORLD CUP started...FOOTBALL OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALS were considered as prestige tournament which is equivalent to a world cup :) .....in 1930 they beat Argentina at MONTEVIDEO ..and in 1950 they upset Brazil in Brazil as that was the only world cup without a final and it was decided on a group basis....in that Era Uruguay was considered a powerhouse in football....
