This video has some great shots and editing! I especially like the new in-car shots filmed by someone else, and these transitions are so smooth. The only problem that I found was the audio wasn’t synced up for a lot of the time.

Putting on seat covers,taking a paintbrush to the calipers ,and rattle canning ,brillo padding stuff is not a "skill set" anyone is envying. Getting to the root of why the car is under power should be addressed. And No , it's not the spark plugs..

Orange oil cleaners work well for removing Plasti dip. Spray it down, agitate with a brush then rinse it off. I've had good results with minimal effort.

I totally understand your dilemma with seats. I'm a used car dealer in SoCal. My project is a 1996 Z3, same mileage 81K, but identical in many aspects like your Mustang. I didn't do the seats either. It's very tempting, but I'd be tossing money out the window. It's been more of a project and longer than anticipated, but should be on market soon.

$400 bucks for some ebay adjustable/reclining race seats and brackets would make the car worth $6995. Those universal covers look like crap and may make buyers think thats the kind of repair work you did to the car. But like you said before. Time is money. No sense having the car sit around for 2-3 weeks to try and make a few hundred more dollars.

under the hood, hit your electricals with WD-40 first. then do your cleaning, or just make sure everything is bone dry before firing it up. i like using a tire foam, let the foam break up & lift all the crud for 15 minutes or so. then scrub with soft brushes. gives the engine compartment a little shine too. amazing how that car came out. doesn't look 27yrs old at all. great video. great tips

Always clean the mass air sensor the cleaner is 8 bucks and can make a car run like new if your rpm’s are high after warm up is a telltale sign CRC make a great product

Nice resurrection of that 5.0 SN95. Brings back memories of a 94 I had back in high school. Worked at McDonald's to pay for it as a teen. Same color green but mine had the tan leather interior. Unfortunately, as a young kid I learned the hard way mustangs don't go well in the snow and I traded it for a truck. As an adult now who can afford more than one car I have a 12 GT. But that was my first mustang. Many fun times and summer nights in that car. Thanks for the nostalgia!

I ran a shop 37 years. Collision repair, frame, detail, mechanical. I wanted to offer some advice which i know will make your job easier. There is a commercial cleaner called burst. Will not damage paint or aluminum, but really cleans. Get yourself a 1 gal garden sprayer. These 2 products will save lots of time.

Keeps. Even though they are not as popular as the other Mustang generations, I have always been a huge fan of the SN95's. When I was in high school in the early 2000's my parents had a triple black 96 GT Convertible. I would take that out every chance I got. My parents actually sold it to help pay for my wedding. Now that I am on my feet I keep looking for the exact car to fix up and give back to them.

i was so exited becaus i like mustang s but man you drop the ball hard, the seat covers you could got some replacements from LMR for 500dlls and would of look original, and the wippers cowl not gloss black, but german killed it with the paint and wheels.

I had a '98 Jeep XJ Limited with trashed front leather seats. Found a matching color in vinyl, so had them reupholstered with that. Less than half the cost of leather and in they turned out awesome. Nice job on this Mustang GT you guys.

You can plug your scan tool into OBD1 if you have the correct scan tool. For the seats, get the driver's seat redone and leave the passenger's seat alone. I think that's better than loose fitting seat covers. I know when I shop for cars, if there's a seat cover, first thing I do is pull it off. I think that fender would've been better with a light wet sand and just clear, no color. But, I'm not there and I know German knows his s**t.

Thanks for the video, it was very interesting, entertaining and well made. I have a special interest in the 94-95 Mustang GT as I still own the 94 5 speed GT that I purchased in 1995 before graduating college and entering the USAF. I also raced that car in Fun Ford Weekend events from 1998 through 2004. Not sure about your states laws, but in Virginia after 25 years a car can be tagged as an antique vehicle (which is what I have done with my 94 GT) and you're only required to pay a one time fee for the antique plates and aren't required to have an annual inspection sticker (although legally the vehicle must be mechanically sound). I think that you were eluding to that in your video, but didn't actually go into detail. The 94-95 5.0 GT and Cobra cars have a lot of potential to be modified as they are basically the same as the 86-93 Fox body Mustang with a few minor differences required because of size differences within the SN95 body and the Fox body and some major differences in the computer system and wiring. Whomever purchases that car can really wake up the performance of it by installing an aftermarket upper & lower intake (Cobra, GT40, Edelbrock, Trick Flow, etc.), larger mass air meter housing from C&L, 65mm throttle body, a set of 3.55 or 3.73 rear end gears (with the appropriate speedometer gear), advance the timing a couple of degrees at the distributor (free mod if you own a timing light) and install a shift kit. Those mods will transform the performance of that car without breaking the bank or effecting reliability. A few cheap suspension mods like installing subframe connectors, solid rear upper & lower control arms, quality shocks & struts from someone like Koni and a set Ford Racing lowering springs will make that car handle and drive better than you can imagine. I changed my front seats about 15 years ago to a set of performance seats from Summit Racing by a company named Scat Pro-Car. The seats and new brackets were very reasonably priced back then and are still available today. Whoever buys that car will really have a nice platform to work on and modify the car if they choose IMO

Nice a 5.0L V8 for that year Mustang. My 95 T-Bird had the 4.6 V8 and it was and absolute dog. It ran 17s on the quarter mile.

Well thank you! Had one of these, brand new, same weird blue-green, but not trashed by a rabid pittie. It was trashed by an elderly couple who turned in front of me for church. Hit them and wound up in a ditch upside down, hoping I didn't kill them. I have missed that car ever since, ran like a champ. As a buyer, if I see seat covers, I'm going to look behind them. If I saw how bad that seat was, It'd probably be a deal breaker for me. Not shopping around and finding someone to fix those seats reasonably was a huge mistake. No matter how great the rest of it looks, the seats make it look like trash.

The paint looks like it really was a goner and still sort of is. All the chips on both bumper covers makes me think those should have been resprayed too - just enough to blend and cover it up.

As for the seats, fix ripped panels with vinyl and spray both seats, they will look brand new for around $300ish. That's if you have a decent mobile upholstery guy or a fair shop near you. The mobile guys who spray the leather normally don't fix the ripped panels with vinyl. No one can tell the difference between vinyl and leather, especially after spraying.
