Good evening! Thanks for the great video! It's hard to believe that a kite parafoil with an area of 4 square meters can pull so much! In the end, did you fall because of a sharp gusty wind or was there a snowdrift or something like a ledge on the way in the snow??? Thanks!

Yes exactly, there comes a steeper part with trees downwind. Mainly I released because I felt out of control at this point, which was a good choice because the wind got even stronger.

higher to the peak the stronger the wind, where u were it looks like it's even funneling a bit. I learned this the hard way with frenzy 11m, almost killed myself

I think you are right, it might have funneled because there is a bit if a dip on the ridge. It also only lasted for 5 minutes so by the time I had rolled up the kite it was almost over.

I rolled it up and skied down the hill a bit. Right then the gust stopped and I just launched it again. It was a bit of a weird day with awesome wind and crazy long strong gusts on just that part on the mountain.

@@hophmanbg Yeah seems so i was confused i thought it works apart from the quick release, i had the idea in mind that you use it to park the kite instead of having to do quick release.

@@johnnykhawand It does both. If you pull the 5th line a little, the kite goes down in a controlled way. When fully released, the kite gets pulled together like a folded umbrella und falls down.

Hard to tell, maybe 35 knots (or more?). Way too much to even hold the 4m with my 80 kg.
