First thing I did after ordering the Mavic Mini was to order a drone landing pad, as everyone stated it was imperative you had a safe and CLEAN landing spot for the drone. However, in the meantime I watched Aldryn’s video. Result: I’ve never utilized the landing pad. Aldryn’s hand launching and landing process is excellent and works perfectly.

I used dji phantom 4 pro for weddings . When I bought the mavic mini I started using it on my wedding shoots because I quickly activate it, shot 2.7 is enough 60fps too, I lock the exposure.they can also be used indoors if the lighting is properly arranged and of course if the rooms are much higher. If I want a frame where I use ronin and want it even higher look ... the mini mavic is a miracle

I saw you hand launch and I decided to try it out - glad I had my training guards on - not because it was hard to catch - but because of the shape (and because I didn't think to use auto-land) it pulled up, and it was slippery! I've learned to grip it a bit tighter and give it a quick inversion, which shuts it down

Thanks for this video. I especially like the tipping trick. My preferred way of catching the drone is to have it hover at eye level and then grab it behind the ground sensors, and then hold the left control lever down all the way which makes the propellers stop. I find it easier to grab it when the drone isn't moving. I did get my finger caught in the propeller once because I tried to land it on my hand. Good thing I was wearing gloves; there was no cut and no blood.

I subscribed to you channel ages ago. But this is one of the most dangerous and lethal aspects of using a drone. I've seen many accidents cut fingers, finger hanging off - in real and on video, all due do accidents with hand catching. I use to do this with - not knowing any better with two of my drones, but no longer. You can always find a take off and landing place, even if you have to move 10 or 50 meters away from where you need to be. Those rotating blades can take off a finger in a split second, or even take an eye out or scar your face. Madness.
@FlytPath5 жыл бұрын
Sadly. Most people do it with no knowledge. I hope to change that.
@davesfilmingservices43775 жыл бұрын
@@FlytPaththank for your reply. Yes I used to, but since obtaining a licence some while ago and now using my drones professionally, I never hand catch anymore. There's always a take off and landing place, you have to look around you and you'll find one. I hope this helps your viewers too.

You don't have to fly it, these things are pretty much just flying themselves and you just tell them what you want it to do. Just be careful when close to trees, poles, and powerlines. Always pan the camera left and right to make you are clear.
