Hey Dave, thanks a lot for your comment! I *love* your creation, it's simply the most fun drone to fly. The flight time coupled with the ultra portability of the quad opens up a whole other world of possibilities. Kudos! Will upload more mountain flights soon, now with Naked GoPro footage 😃

Great flight LR quad in its natural habitat

Beautiful place. I'm amazed at how many times you can go up and down the mountain in one flight.

This flight probably didn't even use a third of the battery, it's crazy how long this quad can fly!

Wonderful flight in such beautiful sceneries. This is exactly what these long range quads are made for. Well done!

Schon wieder ein feines Video! 2:49 hast schon kurz überlegt ;) Aja, der footage ist auch interessant, mit superview Script verbessert, stimmt's?
@FPFPV3 жыл бұрын
Ja.
@Rcschim3 жыл бұрын

Very exciting to watch as I plan to buy this quad. What batteries are you using for long flights.
@FPFPV3 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks :) I'm using either 1300 mAh 4s Lipos or 3000 mAh 4s Li-Ions. The Li-Ions don't fly as well but they last forever, like 20-30 minutes of flight time.
@adinwalls3 жыл бұрын
@@FPFPV okay cool. That’s interesting. Most of what I’ve seen recommends 850-1000mah lipos. Might take your advice for my first couple of lipos. I specifically want to do long range.
@FPFPV3 жыл бұрын
@@adinwalls yeah, no point in using smaller lipos if you want to do long range, imo

I actually ordered this frame to put t motor 1404 motors and their mini f7 stack in. Excited to build a micro long range based on this frame and Dave Cs principles
@FPFPV2 жыл бұрын
The stack on this frame is 16x16, not the usual 20x20. Hope you are aware of this
@xORLOCKx2 жыл бұрын
@@FPFPV I am aware of that. I have an adapter plate but a lot of people upgrade the FC to 20x20. They just went with 16x16 to save weight. From my understanding talking to someone that is running a 20x20 mamba the holes are already there it's just a little tighter.
@FPFPV2 жыл бұрын
@@xORLOCKx ah yep, you're right there are 20x20 holes. Never mind then!
@xORLOCKx2 жыл бұрын
@@FPFPV it's a tight fit for a 20x20 even though it has the holes. I use tmotor exclusively and really trust their stacks. It will barely fit. Wire placement is crucial. But worth it. If it ain't broke though don't fix it. Your videos are amazing and what I'm aspiring to film myself. Keep up the beautiful work!

wow what a beautiful piece of earth. Great video
@FPFPV4 жыл бұрын
It really is one of the most beautiful places on Earth in my opinion. The video quality is really shoddy though and doesn't do it justice. I've flown there today with my 5" with a GoPro and the footage is much more enjoyable!

@@FPFPV I think I know what you mean, I also just started to record with gopro's. with color graidning you can still do a lot and no master has fallen from the sky

Great video! I normally fly a FR7 out on Colorado with high altitudes of 13-14k . I'm visiting Switzerland in May and I'm looking at the Explorer LR4. Do you think itll handle the altitudes and dive recovery in Switzerland with the li-ion and weight of the naked gopro ? (Or a session?)
@FPFPV3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I've actually got an FR7 frame + parts sitting on my bench right now, I'm about to build one myself. I think it still handles reasonably well with a Li-Ion, though I wouldn't fly freestyle with it. As long as you don't cut your dives too close, it's fine. The only times it struggles is in extreme cold and wind. This flight was on a pretty windy day and you can see it's pretty shaky. And in negative temperatures, the Li-Ion battery struggled so much after a while that I could barely gain altitude. But if you need more power, you can go with a 1300mah Lipo and still get well above 10 minutes of flight time!
@proxlamuz45913 жыл бұрын
@@FPFPV thank you for your feedback!
@juanadames34814 жыл бұрын
Nice video!! what battery do you use? and how many flight time it gave you? thanks
@FPFPV4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I mostly use a 1300mah lipo or a 3000mah li-ion. Flight time is somewhere between 10 and 20 minutes, maybe more if you really go to the limit of the li-ion.
