An excerpt of Polish Radio's European Elections special including an announcement of exit poll results at 9pm CET, speech of winning Civic Coalition leader Donald Tusk, and some comments from politicians invited.
The broadcast was unique in that it was carried on 3 out of 4 of Polish Radio's national FM networks: PR 1 (Jedynka), PR 3 (Trójka), and PR24, a news channel. Each of the stations contributed to the common programme from their own studios, with each station's own hosts, and each station's own lineup of politicians, commentators and experts. A similar pattern was in place already before the liberal takeover of public media from PiS hands in December 2023.
At 56km, 92.3 from Białystok/Krynice is one of my two local signals for PR1. It's a bit noisy though as it was received off-the-back of my 3-element Quad beam. However, on the waterfall you can also see weak DX traces of some other Polish Radio transmitters carrying the elections programme:
91.7 - PR3, Częstochowa/Wręczyca (345km)
92.0 - PR1, Przysucha/Kozłowiec (218km), intermittently showing up mixing w/ PR2 Suwałki/Krzemianucha (161km), which continued to carry its normal programming
92.2 - PR1, Płock/Rachocin (214km)
The time in my SDR-Console display is 2 hours off, as the IQ file played was recorded with SDR#, which timestamps the files with my local time (UTC+2h with DST), while SDR-Console thinks it's UTC...
Received in NE Poland using Airspy HF+ Discovery & 3-el Quad loop beaming SW at that moment.
