My test Sansui F 21. if i compare the sound, of the same music, coming out of my iphone 15 pro, itunes purchases, and the sound coming from the Sansui in bluetooth, the sound coming from the iphone is better. with the sansui, you can increase the sound louder, but the sound is too high-pitched and is less clear. both devices do not have good listening, anyway.. listen with headphones with the sansui, the headphones are a good model, sony MDR-XB50APB. with the sansui, and in bluetooth mode the sound is almost inaudible, very high-pitched: impossible to listen to. another try: i remove the bluetooth mode, and i listen to the sansui FM radio, with the headphones: the sound becomes better, but very high-pitched and tiring, it is very bad. Hawful.

if i use a portable bluetooth adapter with my sony headphones, and the iphone as an audio source, the sound is excellent. if i use my sony headphone with a hifi element, the sound is good. the headphone is therefore not the cause, it is the headphone output of the Sansui radio that is very bad. but it is even worse in bluetooth mode. this radio gives its best when listening to the speaker, without using the headphone jack. i can't stand the radio saying hello and goodbye. the voice is in chinese, but even if it was in english it would bother me just as much. it would have been better if the voice was in english. and even better without any voice, or if there was an option slider to cut these welcome voices. Another try, i have apple airpods pro, bluetooth, and i will try if i can listen directly to the sansui radio. the answer is no, it doesn't go in that direction. so the only interest of the sansui radio is without headphone. it is small in a luggage if you can stand the voice that says hello and goodbye, which is not my case. ,

there is no battery, it charges like a phone in USB-C, which can be annoying when traveling if you can't charge it, but on the other hand it also avoids buying batteries. you would need the two possible power supplies, but to have a pocket radio, it's still nice. Another test: use of a miniature USB key, Sandisk 16 Gb, SDCZ33, filled with mp3s. listening is radiant and efficient. it is the best source musically. with the button that goes on the left, I immediately go to the next song, and the number appears in the order of the mp3s. suddenly the sound becomes good and better than in the previous tests, it is the best use of the sansui. another try, i put the sandisk usd key in the sansui, and i put my sony headphone. the listening is inaudible. it is however in stereo.
