Flexicon's FMB210 is a family of fully automatic filling and capping machines.
One of the machines in this family is ideal for filling, stoppering and crimp capping within the pharmaceutical, biotech and diagnostic industries.
Capable of working with many different liquids or fill volumes into vials of up to 52 mm in diameter. It can handle stoppers and crimp caps up to 20mm dia.
The system is modular, and easily customisable.
Vials can be fed from a rotary table, or as shown here a more compact in feed conveyor.
Peristaltic fillers prevent costly overfilling on volumes from less than 0.2ml to 100ml.
Liquid only contacts a single-use fluid path, so change-over from one liquid to another can be done quickly, without the risk of cross-contamination.
A production run can be set-up in under 20 minutes, and the total capacity per working day is unique for this size of filling and capping solution.
The FMB210 is perfect for small to medium sized batch runs.
Depending upon fill volume, the machine can process up to 4500 vials per hour.
Production costs are minimised as just one operator is required to feed the machine with vials, stoppers and caps,and remove the final product from the outfeed.
An intuitive HMI ensures easy change-over, without the need for support from outside the clean room.
Calibrating the fill volume is easily done and documented, using a standard balance connected to the control panel.
The filing and capping line is very compact, configured using standard modules and proven technology.
Optional modules include a laminar air flow unit, which protects open vials from contamination, connection to a particle counter and a gas purging system that minimises oxygen content in filled vials.
