Congratulations you are the first Chanel I have seen that is taking advantage to the benefit of recruiting membership. Have you thought about setting up a chapter for your followers. You can get some good perks like insurance to cover meet ups/ rallies.

Had not thought of that. We actually only realized the recruiting stuff after the interview. Way before we think about rallies, need to join some chapters and get to know more. That's our next step. Thanks for "planting" ideas though.

This is really going information. We have Good SAM but have been considering changing. We start back traveling in March.

We have Good Sam's Roadside Assistance currently, but may change to FMCA's Roadside Rescue which is not included in membership. But FMCA's club membership gives you FMCAssist included. That will help you return your RV home as well as kids, pets, and other passengers if the driver is ill. That's a huge comfort for us. We'll be joining some of the chapters now as well. We went to the international rally in Lincoln,NE last year. I could not believe the diversity of RV's at the rally from Newells to 1973 Motor homes. We had a lot of fun talking to people. We will be at Gillette,WY this year. Hope to see you there.

If you are looking for a less expensive spot with full hookup in a nice area we stay about an hour south of San Diego in Baja Mexico. It is $400 a month for a full hookup and it’s a gated park right on the beach. The best value in rv imo.

If you have a HDT/5TH Wheel you will need two towing memberships. Since our HDT truck is considered a separate unit due to the size. Safe travels and roads Brian and Cindy, "xtreambydesign with passion"

Well -I can’t say we have benefited good or bad from FMCA -We went to the rally in Tucson in March 2022 -it was ok 🤷‍♀️🚌🇺🇸

If I'm full time what is considered my home address? One other question I have is do I have to actually have a resident of South Dakota or do I just need to use them as a mailing address? Keep the good stuff coming guys.

Thank you. As a full timer in society, you will have to pick a residence. To use either of the mail forwarding services that FMCA connects you to, you would be establishing a "domicile" in South Dakota.You just get a mailbox thru these mail forwarding services. Driver's license, insurance, taxes, would all be with that address. Others choose different states for different reasons. We aren't that knowledgeable in that because Jamie is an insurance agent in Arizona so maintains an address there. Hope that helps a little.

I think you would have to decide if the value you would get from the membership is worth it to you. If you are far off a main road and need assistance, I'm not sure that FMCA's service could get to you. I recommend that you speak to them directly.

@@RoamingWithRosie the reason I'm asking bc we will be doing some bondocking but we will also be going to campgrounds like in a 45 foot rv if that makes sense

Gotcha. I can just tell you that we have FMCA, AAA, and Good Sam roadside assistance for that "just in case". We've been told of scenarios where one is better than the other in diffetent places. The other benefits of FMCA were the help in getting RV back home in case of emergency and situations like that. This summer we will attend our 1st international FMCA rally in Wyoming and hope to report on that as well.
