One area not addressed for 2-stroke pipe; The silencer / stinger overall length measured from the stinger outlet on the Expansion chamber, to the outlet of the silencer, will effect how high the RPM range before falling off the pipe. Example: The Shorter the length, the more bottom end, and the lower the rpm before falling off the pipe. I ran back-to-back a shorty compared to a regular length silencer, and the shorty caused a need for short shift to next gear for a double. The longer silencer allowed the engine to overrev and upshifting was no longer required for the same double.

The best sound I have ever gotten out of a motorcycle is the FMF Fatty on my wr500. The yz490/wr500 were known for being the only big two stroke to have any low end power so I rarely get on the pipe, but when I do it is awesome.

I have an ssr 125 that im gonna replace with a full exhaust system since mine has gotten quite beat up. Its not bored out or anything, most i have done is just a change in the sprocket ratios. Is it a good idea to put a header on it or just a muffler? I plan on putting a new carb on it as well since my stock OEM one is coming to its end.

A 2 stroke exhaust does not fit on a 4 stroke bike. Even if you could mount it, you would decrease performance. It's 2-stroke vs. 4-stroke. The Titanium 2 is is for 2-stroke bikes, while the Powercore Titanium 2.1 is for 4-stroke bikes. Both are good for motocross. RevZilla I’m afraid you’re incorrect there, if you look even on FMF’s website, there is a FMF Titanium Powercore 2.1 which is anodized and obviously made of Titanium. The next one is the FMF Powercore 2.1 which is not anodized, not made out of Titanium, but aluminum. Both are for 2 stroke dirt bikes.
