Was just a local CRPA event and FMK was there spoke with them and told them I was researching it as my next purchase dude spent 20 mins talking to me about the gun and company. Company based out of Placentia CA and I’m literally 20 mins away from it. Gave me a free shirt and a $50 off coupon, I went to the store and ordered myself one.

Greetings from the Free County of Cochise in beautiful Arizona! I sure hope you are enjoying the 9C1 Gen 3 if you decided to do so. Great value in my opinion. The process of converting to 9mm from a lifetime of 1911 based.45 acp pistols requires training and commitment, so adjustment was expected. I found the transition pleasant and beneficial in the end. The result for my tactical preparation is nothing less than a force multiplier!

Not sure if it’s just me, but I’ve found that the sights when aligned as show works well but with the muzzle up showing the full front dot, it is sighted perfectly for 50 yards. Might be a fluke on mine but I was amazed when I figured this out. Hitting 7/10 on a 5” plate at 50 yards with any pistol is impressive, to do it out of the box for under $300 is unheard of. Very impressed with the quality especially after the (804) FAT upgrade. Can’t wait for the new gen3!

Thanks for the heads up about this video. Good to know about the sights, and I'll keep that slide stop in mind. I chose this over the Glock 19 because the reviews for this gen have been pretty good overall. It sounds like a good gun for the price, so I opted for this, a lock box, and 600 rounds instead of the Glock. Next step is CCW, since apparently LA County is now more open to issuing. Thanks again! Another great video

@@thinmizzy365 having now put 300 rounds through mine, I thoroughly recommend it. I expected that it would take some time to break in, and for me to get used to it, but it was phenomenally accurate right from the start, and a real pleasure to shoot. Surprisingly little recoil, too. I thought I might have some reservations after using it, but in fact I'm looking forward to the next time I can take it out. Just remember Graham's tip about sinking the ball halfway into the cup when you line up your sights. Saved me a lot of frustration!

Defensively why would you choose this over a Glock. Glock has proven track record. Springfield XD line as well. I'm from Cali, not bashing the company. If it's all you can afford that's understandable. More better than getting a high point. Run some hollow points on these pistols to see if it works. That's all I can suggest.

Loved my first one- sold it and regretted it. Picked up a second one- with the slotted slide, optics cut etc. and had feeding issues and I sold it. I may pick one up again at some point because it is a nice sized pistol and very soft shooter. Sights and trigger are cheap and easy to change out- Glock sights.

Great video ! You both are so pleasant and informative! I recently purchased the Gen 3 9C1 and am very pleased with the value of this pistol. Seems that FMK has addressed some of the issues and brought to market a better product. The trigger will be an issue in California until such time that those experiencing the thrill of controlling other people to purchase a product without the fire control system intended by design, or purchase nothing at all... No Soup For You! Double action only, no easy release magazine, no single action fire from reset .... Sometimes being upset by such Logically Challenged people is counter-productive, since after all, your anger, fuels their orgasms.

Glock factory sights are also the same way if you line up the sights properly using the top edge. Glock sights will cut part of the front circle off and you basically will only see a partial circle of lining up top edges on Glock sights. It’s something my friends and I have always noticed and thought was odd.

You can dial those sights in by filing the rear notch down to, and perhaps slightly into, the white.

This pistol has a major safety issue. Try pulling the trigger without engaging the safety blade. The pistol will go off! I have sent this to FMK and it was returned with the same exact issue! The company will not acknowledge this, and I had to pay shipping to them. I also verified this at a local gun store using their display model and the trigger will still engage without the safety blade. Why FMK doesn't want to recall this pistol baffles me. If you don't believe me, please dry fire this pistol. Simply pull on the sides of the trigger without pushing the blade. With enough force it will clear the frame and engage the sear. This is a dangerous weapon. Additionally, I've had FTE and FTF issues that I sent to the company twice for repair (They will not give you a shipping label). Yes, the pistol is $250 and has a lifetime warranty and made in the USA, but if you have to spend $50 for shipping each time you have a problem, what is the point? For those that are still adamant on purchasing this pistol, just please try this at the gun counter before making your purchase.

I think that like any relatively small firearms company that is still in its infancy they have issues that need addressed and ironed out. What I do like about this company is it is veteran owned and operated and that customer service is friendly and quick to assist. I hope that as they move forward with R&D that they can get things ironed out so that this firearm becomes a viable EDC option with a sticker price that keeps it very accessible to all. Although very Glockesque in design it is IMO far more ergonomically pleasing in the hand. The triggers remind me of almost every budget pistol as they are very gritty and feel ratchety in operation. I have not done enough research to see if the sights and trigger are Glock aftermarket compatible but if they are an Apex and some XS DXT express sights and you would have a very comfortable firearm to carry and shoot. I have seen where reviewers have had issues with extraction, double feeds, and various magazine issues with past models. Others have demonstrated dead trigger problems. I want to support veteran owned American companies but given the current track record of these firearms I cannot warrant the purchase as I won't own a firearm that I cannot trust to be in a carry rotation. Hopefully, this latest offering demonstrates better reliability of function.

We have two 9C1 G2s. One is about nine or ten years old and a hot mess. This one is 3-5 years old and works fine. I think the problem is most of the reviews are old and so of older production guns.

Sights may be different than other guns, but once you learn YOUR gun, it's dead-nuts accurate at 10-40 yds. Remember, this particular pistol is a fighting/defensive firearm, not a bullseye tack-driver.

Customarily I buy a Heritage Rough Rider each Thanksgiving/Christmas season for $99.99 on sale, just about everywhere. Last year I couldn’t find them for that price thanks to the virus. I bought the brown box version of that gun as a consolation. I found this gem for $219 plus $12 shipping, not bad for a time when guns were selling at crazy prices. The gun came with one magazine and a slip of paper with a link to the website to download the user manual.

@@GBGuns Well if you turned it down because it look like a drunk tried to make a copy of a Ruger Single Six in their basement, then I can understand. I think it’s in the name, they are a little rough comparatively speaking but they are great little inexpensive plinkers for the backyard range and super fun for first time shooters. I’ve introduced a few anti-gunners to the shooting sports with them and they loved it. My formula is, coke can size targets at 5 yards and low velocity Aquila Colibri , 22 shorts and CCI quites 710 FPS. to start. With the Colibri hearing protection is not necessary. Accuracy is a different story at distance, but they all are pretty consistent where they hit so it is easy to figure out the point of aim. I own Four 4inch six shooters, three 6 inch six shooters, one 16 inch six shooter, one 6inch nine rounder, and one 6 round Rancher rifle. For the price and the amount of inexpensive shooting pleasure, they are hard to beat. Pre-covid the Rough Riders were always a hit at my annual Barbecues. So far I’ve not had any problem with any of them and with a magnum cylinder installed they could certainly do damage to an uninvited intruder.

I was ok with it looking a little rough, but it was the cylinder seizing up during handling that made me kick it back. Fortunately the retailer was undersranding.
