accomodation is a easy game. FMS is in DU North Campus (near Hansraj and in front of KMC) so there are dozens of pgs and flats available . Let it be in Malka Ganj or Kamla Nagar Market or Jawahar n=Nagar or Vijay Nagar etc. Living cost: in 15k you'll be able to get a single room pg with food included and if you spend a little more in other activities so ig 20k should be enough. Baki toh sharing karne pe it'll be around 15k in total (for people who want to save money that is)

Finance placements at FMS are not comparable to IIM A,B,C. There is hardly any placements for PE/VC and very less for hardcore Investment Banking and Markets. However, after IIM ABC, FMS is as good as any other college wrt finance placements. There are very good brands like AmEx, Morgan Stanley, StanC, Nomura, Natwest, 03 Capital etc that regularly visit FMS Delhi. Some big names in BFSI which come to other top colleges but are missing in FMS - Goldman Sachs, Avendus, CitiBank, Barclays, Gaja Capital, Premji Invest, Capital One, Blackrock, DE Shaw etc

I am 29 years old. ST category. I have secured 96 percentile in CAT 2023. I want to apply for FMS. The problem is I have only 48% in graduation. I have around 40 months work experience. Would my age and percentage be a big problem in placement? I am not scared of getting a lower package than my batch because that is most certain to happen but mostly scared I feel like i won't even be allowed to sit in placement. Any advice?

Akshay, you wont be facing much problems in the placements apart from hardcore Consulting companies. Few finance companies may look at graduation marks, but that is not a norm. Marketing, Ops and General Management roles don't care for academics much. Since you already have 40 months of work ex, you might lose out on a lot of good marketing companies as most of them would prefer a fresher or someone with less work ex. If you can try to compensate this with excellent academic performance in FMS (which again is tough considering you are sitting amongst CAT toppers), and you have few moments of spikes in your CV like some excellent POR, some very good case competitions winner title etc, you can compensate for the acads.

Yes. Its not a mandate that good product management roles are reserved for tech background people. (Although being from tech background helps in Product Management, but its not always true)

No , limited roles and more competition. But there are plenty of finance jobs and overall competition batch strength is much less.
