FMS P51 1450mm Maiden Flight!

Thanks for sharing this review ! Finally maiden mine with a 650kv motor from the same size t-28 and it flies great 👍🏾 . My new favorite 1400 warbird. Next I need to maiden the 1700p-51.

P-51, Corsair, Spitfire and the P-38 I could fly, or watch fly all day long. I’m thinking the P-38 of the WWII fighters is my favorite. But the other 3 fighters are all a close second. Thanks for putting the video together. Beautiful plane.

I’ve had an absolute blast the last couple of months with the Flightline 1600mm P-38, Corsair and Spitfire. Even the 1600mm FW-190 flies great. Who knew the larger scale warbirds were easier to fly? (I was told that 6 years ago and didn’t listen) Still scared to fly the 80mm a-10. But I’m torn between FMS P-51 1450mm and the big Tigercat. Any suggestions? How’s everything with you?

I had a brownout on my beloved Eflite P-51Blondie. Total loss. Nothing will ever replace it, but the whole reason into this stupid sport was to fly P-51’s, Corsair’s, and P-38’s. I want the 1450mm, but this voice in my head says, “Get the 1700mm. Announce your presence at the field with authority.” (I’ll figure it out by Black Friday or Cyber Monday)

Oh yeah, I’ve had about 8 successful maidens since that nonsense, 😆. My buddy had me set up a couple of his birds so I’m cured from that nonsense! Plus headed back to my field in Texas where I feel super comfortable!! 👍🏼👍🏼

Thanks bud!! I have the June Nite too and they both fly amazing! Can’t really say which one I like more the battery bay is easier to deal with on the 1450mm. Want to get my hands on the 1700mm next 😆!! BTW great idea on that Velcro battery bay idea will be doing on the June nite for sure!! 👍🏼

A buddy has one and finds it underpowered. Needs full throttle the whole flight. Do you have any power issues??

Funny that’s all I ever heard about this model before I bought it, and I was pleasantly surprised at the power. I did upgrade ESC because I bought it second hand and factory esc was bad, so input an 80amp Hobbywing. She definitely not the fastest but I flew it with mixed throttle and didn’t find it to be underpowered at all! I actually like flying this one more than the Eflite 1500mm, both are great but enjoyed this one a bit more!! 👍🏼👍🏼
