As an Alabama State University Alumnus, Florida Memorial's Band reminds me of the subtle place I was born and raised - In Miami-Dade County, about 15 minutes from this historic institution. The consesus of our culture in my city reflects the "power in the punch" that we deliver in our confidence, even if we attend other HBCU'S. Although Florida Memorial University does not have all the "bells and whistles" of a mainstream HBCU, it has already given "us" a reason to pay attention to an institution that I consider as a "Sleeping Giant" 🙌🏿 💯

I love how the smaller bands in Florida bring it. Id love to see them battle Edward waters because i love that program to. Real talk fmu and Edward waters are more entertaining to me than famu and bcu.

I believe they had a drill but they cut some parts of their show because time. Maybe out of respect for SU.

Their show is their show. The format of their show is their format. This band does it all, but it appears they condensed it to allow for other things. I'm sure they appreciate your honesty, as these kids are tough and prepared for harsh, as well as complimentary critiques.

You do know that this HBCU band has only been in existence for just two years, right? So technically, they’ve only performed for one full year. That said, they are amazing. I loved everything including the beautiful dance team.
