The xlookup issue blew my mind too - never knew that. I just tried it on my laptop and got the same outcome, but I realised if you do =(44000-40000)/40000 , then the resulting 0.1 can be looked up from a list. Just a bit more typing though :(

So weird! I guess the trouble is that if a/b-1 and (a-b)/b sometimes give different results, it’s impossible to know which one is going to be in your favor for different inputs 😬

Probably the order of operations confuses it. My guess is that Excel takes 16 significant figures, so it starts from the first decimal place if it's 0.xxx instead of 1.xxx, maybe?

I agree with your other video about prebuilt lambdas but where did you hear about the rugby league tables to prepare those lambdas. It’s the sheet where it discusses stage dates and stage introductions… I never receive them

I think they usually include a link to the group in the reminder emails they send out earlier in the week. Fair warning, it’s not always helpful! I spent more than an hour working on functions based on a vague reference to league standings… and I’ve sometimes done similar work and found it no help at all in the end…

The rounding thing with the 10% and XLOOKUP is very tricky. Wouldn't want to encounter that when solving a case... Would lose my mind debugging it.
