I mean all he does is mention how he's the last memory of her mother but do we get any clues to her doing it because of that? Nope, do we get to know if he's a memory or whatever the freak he is? @@dafnneamankay6092 it's also a "what if" ending that could've literally gotten a bass battle but got reduced to a fake one. I don't think he is much of a memory of her mother than he is of a symbolic reminder that she had a mother once in her life. he was probably just wording it differently to let her know what she had truly done. because let's be real, first he comes into her dreams uninvited, tells her stuff that she doesn't even know herself and wonders why she tried to forget him, (which she would've if he was her subconscious, tell me how would a memory know how to defeat other memories?? and why is he the only one in her room when the other toys are scattered around the map?) says he knew she had a problem with sleeping all those years ago but only comes to her aid now just so conveniently, stares into her eyes as punishment (eyes are literally the windows to the soul), he's literally also the only toy left to show up as a "hallucination" in FNAC Remastered, has a connection with shadow candy that implies that he is also a incorporeal being because they are both the only ones in night null+can also change the situation by either helping her or taking her down. And it seems as if Emil probably did want to delve into his character but just never got the chance so he just left him as a background one. He didn't know how to incorporate him into the rest of the events (explaining why only in the Forgotten Ending we know that he is more than what he seems+why would they just give out to a specific character that is never talked about again and only gets cameos? His entire addition to the story itself is confusing, and if he didn't want him to have importance to the story, he should not have added him at all. In FNAF 4, the protagonist doesn't need a guide. The game mechanics tell us directly what to do, so why would we need one here?) and Mary's story, while slightly half baked, was already done so yeah. I'm hoping the new FNaC game will be a lot better in handling characters, not just Origami Cat, but the majority of the characters that we got to see in the past never got backstories, motives, or development. I really wanted to learn more about CAT and RAT, why Vinnie is the way he is, what happened with Mary's mother/why is she dead, who were the twins that died and became Cindy and Candy, etc etc. .
