I mean, according to the end credits scene with the music box and the "come find me", and based on how in the games Charlotte was the first victim before the MCI and we see that Garrett was also the first victim before before the MCI in the movie, he's probably going to possess the puppet in the sequel 🤷‍♀️

Idk if this is your au but I think garrett possess puppet. I mean why would William go extremely far from city to the woods to kidnap a specific child? I think Mike dad is Henry. And in the end of credits we can hear with the puppet music box “come find me” so I do believe garrett possess puppet because there’s no Charlie Emily but there’s Henry Schmidt.
