My dream fan game uses a flare gun. Instead of being based on time or task, you have to get a certain amount of score in each night. Each animatronic has two methods of dealing with them. There would be a safe way, and a risky way. Depending on the night, one of the methods would give score. Next to you is a FNaF 2 lookin’ ass hallway where you would shoot your flares. You only have ten per night, and if you run out, the animatronics in the hall would bum-rush you. There would 25 nights, 24 main nights, and the custom night. Night twenty three would have you collect no points and just have to survive, and night twenty four would have you get at most -1000 points. There would be an animatronic that would suck points out of you, and that is how you get negative points. You would unlock parts of the custom night as you complete challenges. For example, you would unlock the true final challenge when you beat the one before it the true final challenge has a 21 point leniency. You would have to get between -10 and 10 points. The lowest amount of points you can get from dealing with an animatronic is 50. Starting night 12 a timer would be implemented. Animatronics would grant a certain amount of points when you deal with them, and the values would be specific to their ai. So the hardest challenge would be max difficulty animatronics, -10 to 10 (score).

I just thought of an idea for a fnaf fangame: it starts out like a normal fnaf game, nothing really special, and then at night 6, the game abruptly just shifts course and straight up just becomes a Paper Mario style rpg where you travel across the map to defeat all the animotronics, with even stuff like enemy encounters, shops, friendly npcs, and even partners.

Hear me out, FNAF game but the enemies have guns. Serious explanation: Copy the gameplay style, but a fully different setting. You're some sort of alien hivemind, and you're trying to hold off human military operatives infiltrating the hive and trying to kill the core of it (i.e. you) I came up with the idea simply because of concept of the jumpscare being a guy kicking down the door and just blasting you with a shotgun, and I thought it was really funny.

I know that what I’m about to say doesn’t count as fan games but I’m going to put it out there. FPS Games like L4D2 and call of duty has had a few stuff made about fnaf. Mostly fan maps. Like the fnaf maps and character models in Left 4 Dead 2 or the custom Fnaf maps from call of duty WAW and BO3 custom zombie maps. But it kinda blends FPS with fnaf. Even though it’s just fan mods for games.

I am (more accurately was because I'm lazy -_-) making a fangame (a scratch one to be specific), and one of the mechanics will be a taser which will allow you to end a jumpscare in the middle of it, sending the animatronic back to their stage. But to not make it overpowered so you can just cheat death it can only be used 2 times within a night and every single use it will increase the AI level by 5 (ex. if the A.I is 1, it becomes 6, etc.)
