Can you give more context? I’m actually happy to hear that. Being Scott’s last FNAF project, I figured that he’d want to leave an impression and The Puppet is one of the main protagonists of the game. I only concern was that The Puppet was going to be hard to animate, and the crew said they are using almost entirely practical effects.

I’m FNAF 3, Shadow Freddy lures all 4 of the classic animatronics to William Afton, where he dismantles them. In doing this, he sets their spirits free and they retaliate, leading to William Afton getting into the Spring Bonnie suit and suffering a springlock failure. He falls to the group and is left in the suit for 30 years until the events of FNAF 3 when he is discovered and becomes Springtrap. TLDR: Shadow Freddy helps William Afton free the spirits who trap his soul in Spring Bonnie.
