See, I actually really loved that "bring her back and I'll shoot you" line. It's an insight into how attached she got to Abby right away and how scared she is underneath of everything going on. It serves as a little punch of comic relief but in a way that really shows off how protective she is, and once you know the full story, how guilty she seems to feel.
